Simply backwashing your filter isn't enough to remove oils, scale and other contamination trapped in your filter. Regular use of Backwash Booster will help keep your filter clean and will provide better filtration along with cleaner, clearer, safer pool water. Filters do what they are designed to do, trap contaminants. The problem is that the contamination won't backwash out because the oils, grime, scale, etc., gets stuck to the grains of sand. Compatible with all sanitizers. For best results, use at least once a month while the pool is in operation. Directions: 1) Close main drain valve (optional). 2) Backwash filter for 1 minute prior to adding Backwash Booster to flush loose contaminants. 3) Add 16 ounces of Backwash Booster to your skimmer while backwashing. (For best results, add 16 ounces of Backwash Booster to a 5-gallon pail and slowly pour into skimmer while backwashing.) 4) Keep backwashing for at least another 3 minutes, or until water coming out the backwash line is clear.
