LENOX Pipe Crimper, 3 Blade (22208C3)

I have a lot of tools but not one of these. I needed to reduce the end of one pipe to go into another. In perusing Amazon I found they had quite a few crimpers also at varying prices. This wasn't the cheapest but also not the most expensive. Had to make a choice as I needed one. It arrived quickly, did what needed to be done. It was easy to use and I think I made a good choice. Have no clue when it will be used again so I can't say about longevity but for what I needed it did a great job.

Purchased to assist with home drainage project which included two new downspouts. Like many of the other reviewers say it works great. Very sturdy tool. Sad part is it’s not a tool I will use a lot but if you try crimping downspout pieces with a pair of pliers you will have a mess on your hands. The time-saving and professional appearance of my work made this purchase worth it

If you do any ductwork DIY, you will come across a situation where you need to reduce the pipe size a bit for easy fitting. This is exactly what you need in your toolbox. It is inexpensive and practical like a screwdriver. For DIYers, you don’t need anything fancy for a one-off 3 min job. I am happy to have taken a chance buying this at the onset of building my exhaust ductwork for my new range hood. My setup required several twists and turns with various fittings of 6” pipes. This tool saved me a lot of headache.

I purchased it for gutter work but not used it much yet (in fact I got both sizes) but I have used and compared it to the M@lco and can't see a difference in quality from appearances. Having 35+ years in using hand tools gives some ability to judge quality from experience. The tool is required to bend thin gauge steel and aluminum sheet metal and this will easily do that. For half the price it's easily the better value especially as a backup or occasional use although it should last the average user a lifetime. Chances are you'll misplace, lose or have this tool stolen before you wear it out.

OMG, if you are crimping aluminum downspout with needle nose pliers like I was, do yourself a favor and buy this tool. Don't even think about it. The Lenox crimper tool itself is of excellent quality, and feels great in my hand. I took the advice of many and got a 3-blade crimper - not a 5-blade - and am glad I did for it's greater flexibility.

SMW since 1984 and I didn’t think I would ever go from a five blade to a three blade crimper. My buddy at work was using his and I noticed how well they worked and ordered one right away. They crimp way harder than any other crimper I’ve used.
