Nice warm hat for the cold and snow
I needed a better hat for working outdoors in the winter, especially blowing snow. I've always used knit ski caps, sometimes with a hood. But these tended to ride up and leave my ears exposed. I looked at several of these trapper-style hats on Amazon and finally picked this one because of price, description, and reviews. The outer material is pretty much windproof, and the fleece lining is warm and soft. Looks decent to wear around with the flaps clipped up on top too.Only downside I can see is I'm not sure if the outer material wouldn't get waterlogged if you wore it in heavy rain, but I'm not looking to use it that way. I suppose a spray of Scotchgard or other waterproofing stuff would help with that.I have a large head size and was worried this might be too snug, which it was a little at first. But now that I've worn it a few times, it seems to have stretched a bit and now is very comfortable. Had its first real test with the Feb 1 Noreaster, blowing 12-14" out of our driveway in 30 mph winds. My head and ears stayed toasty warm. I highly recommend this hat.

Buy this warm and well made hat with confidence...
I bought this hat for my daily 4 mile walks in our Wisconsin winters. I like being able to quickly undo the chin strap and lift the ear flap to pull out an ear bud if I need to speak to someone. The hat itself is very well made and as warm as one could ask for. Lastly, I'm a man with a large head who must always fasten the adjustable headband of standard baseball caps on the very last clasp or the very end of the Velcro straps and this hat fits me very comfortably.

Kept my ears freezing off
Coastal winds are something else in wintertime, and this hat did plenty to keep my ears warm. It was comfortable enough to wear glasses and a headset underneath, too. A friend said it looked perfect for Hoth Rebel cosplay, but you'll have to take his word for it.

Surprisingly large, fussy clip
I like it but don't love it, and it's certainly good for the price. The front of the flaps gapes a little (even with the chinstrap snug) leaving my ears a little colder than I expected—they're as warm as many other hats I've had, but I was thinking they'd be toasty in this. Elastic along the front of the flaps would fix it.I have a pretty large head and this is a bit loose, I think it could be quite a bit too loose for some people. The chin clip (necessary to hold the flaps against my ears) is small and a little difficult to get lined up—certainly impossible with gloves on.

Works for women too
Not sure why it says “men’s”. Been wearing it with the start of the cold windy weather. Very warm. It is a tad big but I put up my hoodie that I wear underneath my coat and it does it’s job. If I wear it without my hoodie, it is slightly large but I use the clasp and it keep it on my head. The visor is nice and keeps the sun out of my eyes. Very warm.

Comfortable and Warm
I am a female with an average size head and with the strap, the hat fits me securely and comfortably. I wanted a warm hat with a visor that I could wear alone or under a hood and this hat is exactly what I was looking for. It is soft enough to wear under a hood and secure enough to wear alone. The strap keeps the hat on and also holds the ear flaps snuggly against my ears. The strap is not binding and is adjustable with an easy to use clasp. I would recommend it to others.

Warm hat for cold weather hiking.
Well designed hat. I didn’t know it had a folding brim but I like it. The strap and clip work well to pull the ear flaps down tight. The fleece has worked well in -5C weather. The fit was a little tight for my 7 5/8 head but with just a tiny bit of stretching it fits fine.At $15 it was a bargain. My wife says I look like Elmer Fudd but his hat didn’t have ear flaps. Actually it looks a lot more like the hats used on Hoth especially in the tan. However I am more interested in it’s functionality than it’s looks.

Warm for winter weather
I like how this hat keeps my head & ears warm in cold, windy weather. The adjustable chin strap closes with a snap fastener, which is more secure than the closure on my old hat, which has hook-and-loop tabs that were wearing out and not holding well anymore. And the color goes well with my new parka. Selection of different sizes would make it even better.
