Kotobukiya Megaman Roll Plastic Model Kit

Mega/Rock Man wouldn't be complete without Roll (Rock and Roll, right?), and Kotobukiya delivered a perfect representation of this often sidelined character.The assembly is very simple, and the pre-painted faces/eyes are fantastic. The proportion of the figure is close to a normal human, rather than the somewhat deformed representation found in games' concept arts.When completed, the unpainted figure still looks quite impressive. If you dislike gaps between the pieces, you might have to do some additional work to cover them up, as they are pretty evident in the hands, as well as the legs for the original Roll (the other version has boots to cover most of the lower leg).The face change for different expressions is pretty easy, the separation of eye and face provides a more realistic feel to the character. The original Roll's face and hair stays pretty firmly, however the MM 8's version got two movable braids at the front, and they somewhat restricts the movements of the head, and sometimes gets in the way of arm movements as well.The arms' articulation are pretty good for a snap-up figure, although not at the level you would get from a FrameArm Girl, they are still quite adequate for the character. The legs' movements however, are very limited due to skirt in place, they could only go so far in each direction, and you won't be able to pull off some 'crazy' poses(the kit even includes the panty under the skirt, complete with tiny wrinkles and decorations. Maybe the legs were made that way so you can't show it with pose, but as a fan service to the builders).Overall both versions of Roll looked great, they are very natural looking thanks to Kotobukiya's mastery in face sculpt. The variety of hand gestures, hairstyles and facial expressions will keep the figure interesting for a long time to come. If you are a Mega/Rock Man fan, get it right now, if you are a Kotobukiya fan, this should be a no-brainer, even if you just interested in Robots/Gundams, you should still get it, because Roll certainly fits the category :)

Le design et les couleurs sont très bons, mais ils sont très fragiles (Roll, Megaman, Protoman), la qualité technique du plastique est terrible. Les extrémités des pièces font mal et blessent les mains. Je pense que ils sont trop chers. La jambe de Roll ne me va pas bien, mais comme je ne veux pas avoir de maux de tête, je la laisse comme ça.

15年1月の再販品では10年初版と11年の一次再販の時に比べ肌色のパーツ（顔・手足）の成形色が若干変更されているようです。具体的には初版・一次再販の仕様ではパッケージイラストの色に近いやや黄色っぽい（赤みの少ない）肌色ですが15年の再販品は少しピンク寄り（赤みが増えた）肌色になっています。並べてみないと分からないような違いではありますが塗装せずに組み立てる方の参考になればと思います。

全国全世界のロールちゃんファンの希望の星、ロールちゃんが発売となりました。新旧ロールの描かれたボックスアートが非常に可愛いため、レジに並ぶのは非常に苦難でした(しかも店員が女性だっただけに…)。一番の売りである新旧キットの差し替えは、腕部・大腿部〜足首・前髪・服の白い部分を差替えるものとなっています。目のタンポ印刷や口やリボンが塗装済みとなっており普通に組み立てても十分に楽しめるのですが、旧ロールの服の白い部分は首部品と同じパーツのため、別途塗装が必要となります。くるぶしの白部分も非塗装でした。キットの方はホイホイさんをベースに改善されており、足首はポロリしない上に片足立ちでも接地力抜群です。他の部分に関しては基本ホイホイさんと構造は一緒になっております。表情は「通常」「笑顔」「ウインク」の3種、手首は「握り左右」「平手左右」「右指差し」の5種類が付属しています。何か持たせるための手首は付属していません。新ロールの膝パーツの緩さや手首に対する不満はありますがギミックに関しては新しい試みがなされていて、色分け・可動・バランスがしっかりしておりロールちゃん好きな方々にだけでなくロックマンファンにもぜひ触れて欲しいアイテムだと思います。【小ネタ：ロールバスターとマグカップ】 MARVEL VS. CAPCOMシリーズ でお馴染みとなったロールバスターですが、発売中のロックマン/ブルースとの互換が判明。オプションのないロールにとっては貴重なオプションパーツですね。非塗装であれば ブルース 、塗装するのであれば形状が同一の ロックマン がお勧めです。それと最近ロールちゃん全員集合の「ロールマグカップ」が発売していたため、気になる方がいればチェックするのも良いでしょう。【非推奨余談： ホイホイさん との互換】基本的に構造こそ一緒であるものの、ロールちゃんの腕や足の方が一回り大きい感じで、さらにボールジョイント部分はホイホイさん側が少し大きめのために互換性はありません。ただポリキャップは同一のものであるため、手首部分はすんなり交換できます。ホイホイさんのボディに対しロールちゃんの頭部と下半身を無理矢理装着したところ、下半身は少しきつく、頭部の方はかなりきつきつ状態でした。改造なしではパーツ破損の危険も十分にあるという感じです。ただ足の長さこそ違うもののボディの大きさが大体一致するホイホイさんとの互換は魅力的であり、来年発売となる ホイホイさん‾着せ替えセット で持ち手の問題ぐらいは解消できればと思います。たかだか手首に…というのは痛い出費ですが。 MARVEL VS.
