My fall back trap if a mouse is too smart for my multi-mouse humane traps
This is marketed by several manufacturers but they all appear to be identical. I love it for mice that are difficult to capture in my multimouse humane traps. However, only use this trap if you are able to check it several times a day and i recommending putting it in your line of sight as it is easy to tell from a distance that a mouse is inside. If a mouse is in it too long, it would be very cruet and fortunately, the mouse can start to chew their way out. For those of you that treat all animals with kindness and appreciate that mice are a key food for coyotes, foxes and birds of prey, the most humane gesture is to humanely catch and release a few miles from your home, preferably in a field.

Great product, PLEASE CHECK TRAP OFTEN!
IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK TRAP EVERY FEW HOURS & DISABLE WHEN NOT ABLE TO DO SO.I love that this product exists and I’ve humanely caught lots of mice and released them into the forest. I wish the air holes were larger and more plentiful though. Even though I check the trap every few hours, by the time I get to the trapped mice, they are wet from the condensation their breath creates. PLEASE CHECK TRAP OFTEN!

Works great, but little piece does break
The trap has been down for about two hours and the mouse was just caught and taken to the woods. A little female so I put the trap back down - hopefully there's not a family.Like other reviewers have mentioned, the little lip that holds the trap door snapped off with this first use, however, for mine, it looks like there is a very thin metal plate that this tiny piece of plastic was affixed to and even though it is smaller than the original plastic piece that broke off, it is still big enough to hold down the trap door so even though it's not completely "fixed", there seems to be enough of an improvement in design to keep it functional even after the inevitable break. For that reason I'm very happy with it and how quickly it worked. It loses one star for the break though. Also, just fyi - I work with mice (biomedical research) and they dehydrate VERY quickly. Within 2 days they've reached the point of no return (they simply won't try to drink again even if they are freed) so please check traps daily. For someone like me, it is easy to see from some of these customer pics exactly which mice were in those traps too long and are on the brink of death. At that point it'd be more humane to buy a trap that kills rather than having them die the slow, painful, death of dehydration. I chose this specific trap because I liked that the mouse couldn't actually get to the food, making it less likely for the animal to dehydrate before I could get home and check the trap. I also liked that the door springs upward, as I feel this direction will further push the animal in if it's kinda on the border, where as a door that falls down I feel the animal will more likely back up if something hits it's back or head. And I really like the amount of air holes in this product. Great design except that one little ledge piece. It'd be best if they did away with the plastic all together on that part and just made that whole little piece metal, but, again, at least it still works.

Nearly perfect design
These work great but every mouse we catch does a little chewing on the plastic at the top of the trap door (they always chew on that same spot) and eventually a mouse gets out...which means we have to buy a replacement. We check the traps frequently but the chewing adds up over time. We tried the HUX EYE metal traps and mice can get in AND out of those...so we are back to using these plastic ones. Seabright labs...can you make a metal version of this? At least can you make the trap door metal?

Good product but wear on trap eventually makes unusable
Traps work. However, since they are plastic, energetic mice will eventually chew off some parts and be able to escape (despite checking traps every few hours -- including throughout the night which is exhausting for the humans). The critters chew off the knob used to set the trap door and the little middle fascia in the entry way. With the latter chewed off they are able to escape from the closed trap. We added a door hook and a fascia element made of aluminum sheet to make the traps functional again.

Nice idea. Just be sure you have a small ...
have to be sure you have a mouse, not a rat. Rat would not fit in this, and never got him. Nice idea. Just be sureyou have a small mouse that will fit into the humane trap.

Nice trap! Make sure you use peanut butter
Nice trap! Make sure you use peanut butter, it makes the mouse take a longer time inside the trap so you have a better chance to catch it. Make sure to let it go asap, I heard mice dehydrate quickly. :)

Cats five, traps one.
With two cats on patrol, both excellent mousers, these traps should work quite well for the mice, as it is the safest place for them to be.The cats have caught five mice between them over the two weeks that I've had the traps. Only one mouse for the traps, which earned the mouse a free trip to the local park.
