HumbrolAC6134 DecalFix - 28ml Bottle

After applying the decal, i waited for it to dry and then put a small surface coating.This did indeed seem to smooth out the wrinkles and allow for a more uniform appearance.Easy and effective.Somewhat semi glossy at the end, but still looks good.

Leaves residue, doesn't seem to help adhesion.

A good product and works well.I would be a little careful once the decal has dried out. Wipe down the area with water where the decalfix was applied to neutralise the area. I had a reaction between the dry decalfix surface and matt varnish I was using causing bubbling in places on the edge of the one decal. Wiping the area with a damp cloth beforehand and leaving to dry seemed to cure it.I would also use decalfix and whatever sealing varnish matt or gloss from the same maker Humbrol. My gloss and matt varnishes were made by a different company and this may also have contributed to the problem.

It does what it says on the bottle so no complaints there. However the delivery takes way to long and I would advise anyone shopping for Humbrol products to go if at all possible to their local Hobby Craft/model shop where you can obtain the product immediately and there is no postage to pay

Having used water as my decal transfer, I thought I would try decalfix, what a disappointment my tamiya paint started to bubble on my model and the decal became so frail it was a disaster. I must be doing something wrong.?

Much better than just water - makes lining decals up much easier .
