Size:CAT5E (50-Pieces) This Shielded cat5e RJ45 modular connector is designed to terminate stranded cat5e network cable. The connector contains two metal "teeth" that hold the wire in place giving a reliable connection. Easy to terminate, these connectors are useful for creating custom-length patch cables from bulk cable. The pin out for these connectors can be either tia/EIA 568 or 568B.

You get what you pay for. These connectors are ...
You get what you pay for. These connectors are junk. Using two different crimping tools, which crimped other brand connectors with no issues, gave varying results. Around half the time, not all pins were completely depressed, or went crooked, making an unreliable/unusable connection.I'll be sticking with my ideal brand connectors or the Platinum Tools EZ-RJ45 connectors. Also, the wire channel is much shorter on these connectors making getting the wires in the connector to stay in the proper order more of a pain. In my picture, an ideal brand connector on the left and the connector in this review on the right.

Not Recommended - RJ45 connectors
These RJ45 connectors do not have guide channels lower down in the mid-body of connector for each wire lead, making it challenging to align and setup against the connector pins. As mentioned in other reviews, the crimp does not pinch the cable tightly at the base of the connector. Image enclosed for reference.

Should have read the reviews
I bought these connectors thinking "an RJ45 is an RJ45" and didn't read any reviews. I wish I had; they work but the very first try broke off the tension relief piece, you know that thing that actually keeps the cable secure in the connector? Broke right off, but that's ok because it wasn't going to do anything anyway; the plastic tension relief piece doesn't actually secure the cable. I've made thousands of cables over the years and never saw this. It's not just one, all of the cables have it using different cable brands and regardless if it's solid or stranded. In the short term I put boots over the ends so that helps a little until I can order a new bag.I'll spend a few more bucks next time.On the other hand, shipping was quick so I can't fault that!

***** NOT FOR SOLID CAT5/CAT6 CABLE! *****
The connectors I received are for "STRANDED" CAT5/CAT6 cable, they are not proper for SOLID CAT5/CAT6 cable. This should be disclosed in the description of the item, and the reason for the poor reviews!I didn't check (my fault) before crimping 10 solid CAT5e cables, and half of them didn't work. Upon inspection of the connectors I saw they were for stranded cable. I cut off all these connectors and used some "solid" crimp connectors I had, and every cable worked perfectly.Do not buy these for bulk/boxed solid CAT5/CAT6 cable as they will not work properly.

These are completely useless.
A couple years ago I bought a bag of these C&E connectors (albeit from a different seller) and they were great. I just ran out this week and needed more so I ordered these. These are completely useless.I tried crimping these to cable with two different crimpers and no matter how hard I squeeze, they don't crimp tightly. After squeezing as tightly as I'm capable to crimp it, I can still gently pull on the cable and pull the entire cable out of the connector. They also don't plug into RJ45 terminals properly. I test each cable I cut with a wire tester immediately to make sure it's working properly before I use it but I couldn't test the cables with these connectors because they would just fall right out of the RJ45 terminals .I'm going to return these and buy from here instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BS92DCK/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1^These were the ones I bought a couple years ago that worked perfectly. Hopefully the seller makes the difference with these.

Very cheap but with flaws
As others have said, I can confirm that the mechanism that holds the RJ-45 in place when inserted into a device is just too small. Basically this means that the RJ-45 can rock a bit up and down, and has more than wanted forward and backwards movement. How much play this RJ-45 jack has depends on the device you plug them into. My laptop had serious issues with these, as the amount of forward and backwards play is enough to disconnect it. Yet, this happens with other end, including store bought ones (with these it was even more that with others though).I have a Cyclades terminal server, and they felt a bit loose in it. Not enough to cause issues immediately, but enough to make me not use them for it.I also have a number of Cisco routers and switches for my home lab and they were snug in all Cisco devices. On these Cisco devices, I have had no issues.I have also NOT found issues with crimping them that other people have reported (channel for single cable of pairs too wide, crimp does not punch into the center of the cable).I will be keeping these as I need to make a bunch of cables for the lab, but I seriously cannot recommend them for home use, thus 3 stars (the price is half the next lowest ... it has to count for something).

Work as Required
I bought this bulk bag mostly for the cost of it compared to buying them locally.I have used these ends on three cords I have made myself so far, and they have all worked and tested perfectly.I would buy these again with no complaints.

I wasted so much time with these on my last install
Absolute junk. About a 30-50% failure rate. I'm an experienced installer, so I know what I'm doing. They are cheap and you get what you pay for. I eventually discovered that sometimes pins would often FALL RIGHT OUT upon crimping. Sliding in the wires is also very fiddly. These came direct from China when I bought them, so I expect they bypassed much quality control. I wasted so much time with these on my last install. I had bought 400 and just threw the remaining 300 in the garbage. Now I've just bought new (more expensive) connectors from a local supplier and those work effortlessly 100% of the time.

Regular quality plugs
I've now made a few patch cords with these and am very pleased. The connections, one working on a 60 foot cord, are proving very fast. I over-crimped the first couple of connectors, so I had to lift up the locking tab for a secure fit. The tabs did not break off. The price was amazing compared to local suppliers.

Too Large of a Bag!
Great price. Way more than I needed. Using this type on connector is a challenge at best. Getting the correct wires into the correct slots. Is not a problem with this order but with all these types of connectors.
