A GUIDE TO THE LOUVRE (ANGLAIS)

Superb book

This guide is a great deal, even at full price. The color illustrations are beautiful, and many are quite large. The book includes samples of all of the Louvre's collections and makes a very good souvenir. I have many other books about the Louvre, most more comprehensive than this one, but I still find this book worth having. Some of the illustrations here are larger than those in larger format, more comprehensive books.

This is a solid guide to the Louvre, though it says too little about some of the most famous works. it is, however, better than anything else sold at the Museum itself, which has a paltry selection of works in English. You would be wise to find the time to study some of the main works ahead of time, even if only via Wikipedia and other common sources.

A bit too heavy and thick to carry around at the Louvre, it nonetheless has great pictures and good layout to help plan your trip for however many days you want to spend.
