Backyard Life Gear Hinged Lid for 36 inch Blackstone Griddle - Black

Fit perfectly on my 36" Blackstone. Much easier and safer than the original. Well made also.

Very robust - in keeping with the grill structure. Attaches to the original frame and clear instructions with photos make this a 10 minute job - make sure you use the large Philips head bits to stop any stripping. I used a small socket set and it was a breeze. Looks like original equipment- highly recommended.

The lid arrived in a box that was slightly mangled, but the lid was not damaged and all hardware was included. All I needed was a phillips head screwdriver and a few minutes to put the lid on the 36" blackstone. Opens and closes with ease and does not interfere with the grease tray. Glad I got it put on the new griddle because it rained over night. The lid kept the water off of the griddle, which is what I want. Would buy it again and already recommended it to friends.

Great product. Works well with my 36. Just cooked about 100 lbs of onions and bell pepper for the Firefighter Fajita Banquet last weekend. The lid really help keep the heat on the cooking area... really help spead up the carmelization time for the onions. And if the question has not been asked yet... you can cook with the lid down... and no the handle doesn't get hot at all. Also, I wanted to add... the lid does not get in the way if you want to take the griddle off of the grill for transport. No Tools Needed... Just lift the lid, remove the griddle and shut the lid back for transport.

The packaging for the lid was not adequate to protect the finish on the surface. The lid must have floating inside the packaging and caused rubbing on the paint finish. There was also a noticeable dent on the edge of lid. Assembly was better with the aid of the video. The paper instructions that came inside the package was somewhat confusing because it was difficult to determine the right/left brackets. Overall, the lid was very good quality and I feel it will stand up to use. I would recommend the dealer use plastic shrink wrap or bag the lid before placing it the box. In addition the styrofoam boarders protect the edges but the top surface is unprotected. This lack or protection probably caused the dent and scratch on the top surface during shipment. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn’t for the damage that probably occurred during shipment.

I ordered this lid and it arrived promptly. Unfortunately the hardware kit (hinge pins, handle, etc.) was missing. I contacted the manufacturer (US based small business) and they shipped out a new kit right away. They are great people to work with. The lid itself is very well built from heavy gauge sheet steel, I expect it will last for years and years.Very happy I bought this one and not one of the cheaper crap-quality competitors.
