Tried several others, this will be my third purchase of Prophet. Have second button silver beard and this does not change the color. Work in office where scents are strongly discouraged and no one ever mentions a scent, yet I like what little I can detect . The least oily of tested products (very noticeable when using cellphone, glasses, or notebook computer). After applying to beard the little left on hands is applied to hair before blow drying and does great job of control thru day without “product” look. Was offered discount to provide review but didn’t accept. Product stands on its own.Edit: read the review just before mine and asked wife if product had scent. Apparently the prior reviewer is right. I haven’t noticed or perhaps I liked the scent but wife confirmed it was much stronger than I realized while using for prior six months. She said it wasn’t bad but... others may have been too polite to comment. May need to re-evaluate repurchase. Too bad, really like how product works.

I bought this to moisturize and smooth my facial hair. I dont have the lumberjack beard and dont really need the 'hold' yet but the rest of it worked well for me.I like the smell. And I doubt anyone will be close enough to comment other than my wife (who already said it smelled good) or if they were, they wouldnt say anything. I am 6'6" and 270lbs. I consider myself a manly man. And I will gladly wear this scent!I would recommend this product whole heartedly at this point. I may or may not grow my facial hair much longer and if I do, I will be able to comment better on the hold. If so, I will amend my review if anything changes.

Favorite beard balm type of all different products I’ve tried. Will only use this product as long as it is available. I have a long and thick nappy split-end prone beard and this actually moisturizes and tames it the best. It’s not sticky or thick like waxes. And it’s not light, runny and thin like butters. It’s just right and no perfumy over scent. Smells good but not overwhelming or fake. I’ve spent plenty of money on different products, and this is by far the winner for me. Could have saved some money if anyone would have actually left a useful review. So I hope this review helps others save time and money searching for the right product. Depending on the thickness and volume of your beard you may need to use more or less. If your beard feels too dry use more. If too wet use less. Easy to use and very soft/supple, not hard or sticky at all. Like I said as long as this balm is available this is the only one I’ll use from now on. Happy bearding.

Prior to the purchase of this product, I spent a lot of money buying different types of beard moisturizing oil mostly over the counter. Most of these oil products was either very oily or greasy and never lasted throughout the day.However PREMIUM beard balm provided exactly what I was looking for. It smells good, provides a nice look on the beard, and last practically all day. I could have saved a lot of money.

Bought this hoping it would help keep most of the hairs in place and provide some moisturizing and softness to the beard. It does help slightly with both for a short period of time. I'll be looking for something else to try . . . and hopefully some better reviews to go by next time.
