Q: Is this part the main reason why the pilot light doesn’t want to stay lit if it’s bad ?

RFN Honeywell valves have a module on the side which often goes bad. So even if you change the thermopiles or the whole assembly item here, you may not get the valve going or the pilot to stay lit. You usually change this first, and hope it comes on. If not you have big problems because they do not make the valve anymore.

Q: Can I just buy thermopile instead of full assembly?

It comes with the assy. and is already mounted at the proper location. A universal thermopile must be rated to produce the proper millivolts to work the gas valve. A thermopile with the proper millivolt rating might not fit the mounting on the pilot assembly. You are much better off getting the whole assembly.

Q: How do i know if a gas fireplace pilot assembly works with our estate series by pacific energy?

The manual shows that the estate series is a IPI pilot. (Intermittent pilot that starts with a computer). This is for a standing pilot. You should search SIT IPI pilot. They have top mount and side mount. The manual is unclear on which one it is.

Q: How do you order propane version? It does not come up on Amazon under other part numbers or searches

They no longer make the propane version. They want you to purchase this and convert it to LP with orifice (LP) 200-2630.
