If your coffee machine is gonna malfunction, this part will fix it
Product worked to perfection. Let me tell you I was down an easy road to get the coffee maker back up and running. I did an ohm test on both solenoids and they seemed to be working. I received a sturdy reading off of both. I cleaned out all the tubes and still the machine did not work. Rather than clean, I purchased this relay and installed it and and now the machine works perfectly.

Did the trick for me. Breville kepy tripping my breaker.
My Breville 870XL was leaking water and tripping the breaker when I hit either of the "Cup" buttons. Turned out to be this Solenoid was bad. Replaced with this unit and my machine is now working as it should. I will update if part fails however this seems to be the same make/model that came with my unit.

Not a like for like replacement for my damaged solenoid
The replacement part (bottom of the photo) had a different Port 1 female design. The two grooves prevent the male part from connecting. This isn’t a like for like replacement and does not fit.The video that was used in the promo part of the ad actually has the correct port configuration.

Works for BES870XL
New solenoid valve is making lattes more delicious than even when the machine was brand new, working perfectly!I was having issues with my Barista Express after 4 - 5 years of daily use. My steam pressure was weak, water would leak from grouphead and hit water valves, pre infusion of puck caused water to flow into drip tray, shots would have no pressure and water would flood drip tray, etc.I almost returned this product because I saw it was a "frequently returned" item and the first time I installed it all the water was coming from the grouphead only, steam and hit water all came from grouphead only. Turns out the tube on the bottom is non-reversable, there's a right way and a wrong way to install it. In my case the number 2 is on the left side and 1 is one the front, and the metal ring clip thing that holds the tubing to the block should be oriented the same as the 2 way solenoid valve to the left.Frothing performance, and brew quality are so much better now it's like I got a new machine. I will update this review if anything is amiss down the road that I missed but I think my problems are solved

Started leaking after 6 months
Bought in May 2024. Worked well for about 6 months. Then, the machine again started causing GFCI trip. Upon opening the machine, I saw the non-serviceable connection between the black block and bottom white pipe had residue from leaks. I really hoped that the replacement would last several years.

Restored my Breville Barista BES870XL
Replacement is not that hard, once you locate all the hidden screws to remove the covers. I watched a few youtube video's, mostly to see where the screws were located and what was the minimal work required. The part is an exact replacement of the original one. Even better it comes with the lower tubing already connected, making it very easy to install. It has about 100 expresso's use since installing it, no issues.

Sent a used and damaged part
The external shipping packaging was fine but the product packaging was a heavyweight plastic bag that had signs of wear indicating this part was “well traveled” (see photo). The part itself was also damaged with bent pins. Although I dont know for sure this was likely a used part sent out multiple times and not worth the effort to install it in my espresso machine because if others tried it and returned it then it would most likely not work. I returned it.
