I had this installed in no time at all. It was a replacement for the old one and I'm loving it.

The design is relatively sturdy for a plastic product and the whole thing is fairly easy to assemble. It is great for the price but won't work properly right out of the box.You need to do two things for it to work perfectly:First, the included lead hose is not of the best quality, so all threads that it is going to be attached to needs Teflon tapes for proper sealing. On the other head, the location of the feed-in connection is in no danger of being crushed as you can see in the third photo. It is a better design in my opinion.Second many people complain about the hose being kinked inside the reel. A simple solution is to use a zip tie to fix the hose to one of the spoke. This will ensure a minimum radius being maintained to avoid kinking.Honestly the manufacturer can easily include some Teflon Tape and a sturdy zip-tie to make it a 5-star product.

The tight available distance of less than 5 feet to my hose bibb made it impractical to wind the hose in a perpendicular direction with just any hose reel system. The parallel orientation (which I have available over 100 feet in both directions) to the installed Liberty Basics 510 Wall Mount Hose Reel provides for a neat, organized hose retrieval and storage of my 100 feet garden hose. Installation was easy, but per instructions, I had to grease the primary hose fitting. No leaks so far. The integral handle on the reel makes it relatively easy to wind and align the heavy hose for storage. As a seasonal bonus, the reel's release system will make it simple to remove the winded hose for winter storage in the house. I am hopeful that the Liberty Basics 510 Wall Mount Hose Reel will last season after season. Time will tell.
