The shape of the dock is better suited for 3G/3GS however it works great for my iphone 4 also.I have this TEAC radio with ipod dock (see my other reviews) and it used to work great with the ipods but not with my new iphone and ipod touch. The shape of the dock was such that it just could not keep the iphone 4 securely docked. This adapter makes the iphone 4 sit securely in the dock and make full contact with the connector so that i may forward rewind pause play and control the volume via the provided remote.

Works great!
Simple insert needed for some iphone dock devices. Works great for my 3GS. Not expensive. Remember, repeated words in a review do not count. Banana!

iphone 3gs base for alarm clock
This item fits well and makes the phone a lot more rigid, It is good quality part and having 3 in the pack came in useful as my daughter was able to fit one on her speaker system as well.

Not a very snug fit for the 3GS
'Original Universal Dock-adaptor (pack of 3) for Apple iPhone 3G iPhone 3GS':Bought for 3GS as it suggested, it's better than nothing, but not a very snug fit.
