Thumbs up
Liked this one from page one. Spoiler alert.Lissa Piner is getting ready to leave for Europe from her home at the farm. The farm where her sisters of the heart and their husbands live. The sisters are married to the Prekinski brothers, well some of them anyway. Illya, the youngest was here first and is married to Joley Drake. Illya is the most powerful but Gavril, Max, Stephan and Lev are also here. The farm is well protected between the elemental woman and the Prekenski, very powerful, Prekenski men. They will also have huge Russian Black terriers to help guard.Lissa is a glass blower and her beautiful chandeliers are in demand in Europe, hence her trip. Its a trip that will bring her home to her Uncle Luigi. A man who is the last living relative she has left.Piner isn't her real name but a name her Uncle picked for her when he sent her to America to get her out of the way. It was done for himself and not her a fact she won't know for a while yet.Meanwhile down by the ocean, a ocean wild with blowing wind and sand, the Prekenski men are meeting with brother Casimir. A fact none of the wives or Lissa knows. They are headed towards a group of boulders thrown across the sand of the beach. A homeless man, or what appears to be a homeless man is waiting. A fire is going and the man has a bottle of eighteen year old scotch. This is when brother Casimir becomes known to them.None of the brothers turn their back on the situation. They were all ripped from the arms of murdered parents and trained to be assassins. Kostya Sorbacov, a very powerful man who had been the power behind the presidency at the time was the man behind the murder of their parents and their time in the killer schools.Sorbacov's son, Uri, had recently decided to vie for the presidency so the Prekenski boys are now on his kill list. He needs all trace of them and the scandal that created them to disappear. Not an easy task. The Prekenski's are more than capable of defending themselves, their wives and the farm. But right now Gavril has a mission for Casimir. He will be going to Europe to guard Lissa Piner. So begins a damned fine read. This one has Lissa, a Lissa who's real name is Giacinta Abbracciabene, the lone survivor of the murder of her family, servants and anyone who was at their estate that day, Casimir, a Casimir who is already employed by Uncle Luigi and called Tomasso, Uncle Luigi, his right hand man Arturo, a man Lissa considers a friend, how wrong she turns out to be, a man named Cosmo Agosto, the Porcelli family, the murderers of Lissa's family, or so she thought, a Lissa who has been killing those guilty and making it look like accidents, a Lissa who was trained by Uncle Luigi with his own agenda in mind, a Casimir who through his psychic gifts knows Giacinta is the woman destined to be his wife, a woman he will bind to him as his brothers bound their women before him, a Giacinta who decides she will remove her enemies and the enemies of the Prekenski's as well, Lissa's trips to hotels and a castle all wanting her chandeliers, a Lissa who finds out neither her Uncle Luigi or Arturo are who and what they appear to be, a Lissa getting her revenge and she and Casimir getting married with brother Victor in attendance, a Victor who already has a wife, a wife who resides at the farm and Giacinta and Casimir doing their best to remove the threat to the Prekensi's their women and the farm, find happiness and stay alive.Five Stars

Great book!
What a great book. This was full of action with several sweet and hot moments between Casimir & Lissa. He seemed very hot as a bodyguard. The plot had an interesting twist about a 3rd way in and it got to be super exciting. No angst but definitely suspense on how it’s all going to turn out. They are so sweet together; you can really feel the love between them. Lissa is such a capable assassin, it was cool to watch what she does while in her disguise. I can see me reading this again. I recommend!

Love this author...
Book Review- Fire Bound by Christine FeehanLissa is leaving the farm and her sisters under the excuse of selling her Chandeliers to three hotels is Europe. Unbeknownst to them she is going home to Italy to finish what she started. She and her uncle Luigi have sworn to make those pay that killed her parents. Her sisters don’t know who she really is or what she really does. She plans on finishing her promise then going after the two men that threaten her sisters and their husbands. She knows she may not come back but she is okay with that. She knows they will be safe.Casimir finally meets with his brothers. They want him to travel with Lissa and keep her safe. They don’t want her to know that he is there. However Lissa figures out who he is. She also knows she should fear him. She is his and he is hers. They both know it but she doesn’t want anything to do with it.However Lissa begins seeing what is really going on with the revenge she is carrying out against those who murdered her family. Betrayal and secrets are ruling her days. Casimir steps in to protect her and help her plan her next moves. They begin working as a team to take care of all the threats that affect her sisters and herself.I love this author and this series. I was very excited to read the next installment. Lissa is a stronger sister of the group not much is known about her. So her story was very surprising. I wasn’t expecting her to still have a family member alive. I love how strong the author made her. She is smart and deadly. Of course Casimir comes face to face with her and realizes that she is his. I knew from past books that he would be a controlling alpha male that needs to protect her. She obviously is a strong, independent woman. So sparks were gonna fly. I was a bit surprised at the sexual way the story progressed. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. In fact I was a little disappointed that it seemed to dominate a lot of the story. I liked the two together and loved watching them work as partners. In other words I liked the pairing and the shocking secrets that were revealed. I also was excited to see all the brothers in this book. The sex was a bit over the top for me with the inventive ways Casimir came up with. Otherwise I give this book a 4 out of 5.

Mixed feelings!!
Hmmmmm...where to start? This book is dark! The content, although tastefully written, is of pure greed, corruption and evil. The storyline draws the reader in, engages you and tugs at all the senses. The sex scenes are off the charts hot. Hallelujah!! Classic Feehan!...except...it wasn't!... It was nice to actually have a storyline, albeit lame in places, to follow. As of late, her books have nose-dived into chapter upon chapter of boring repetitive sex scenes and nothing else. YES...there was sex in this book, this author is renown for it, that's why we love her...the bdsm?..not so much!! The paranormal is missing in this book, as our couple, (Lissa and Casimir) are fire elements I expected raging flames, other than in the sex scenes, but instead they relied on their disguises, intellect and knowledge. Bringing me to the plot...which was very questionable and iffy in places. As an avid fan, and collector of all Christine Feehan books, Fire Bound was exceptionally better than her other books of late, but unfortunately in no comparison to her earlier works. Overall, a dark, disturbing story of betrayal, greed, hate, vengeance and love, with alpha strong characters not meeting their potential, and kinky sex scenes unnecessarily added in a misguided attempt to engage the reader.

going down hill
I am really disappointed. I have loved this series up till this one. These were great characters but the sex scenes took over the book almost like she was filling up space. I will read the last one but I think that I will have to say goodbye to the writer after that. I have given up on the ghost series for the same reason. So disappointed as I looked forward to all her series and pre ordered them as soon as they were announced.

Another installment of the sea haven characters, i was disappointed with the multiple sex scenes ( i am no prude love a good scene) but this was 40% of the book. I wanted more action you have two trained assassin finally going after the bad guys and there wanst much abut this or it as over quickly... I would like to see Christine go back a little to how she used to write. I will still buy her books because i love the series and want to see them end. But they are not the intensity that they used to be.
