Perfect for small details in oil pastel painting

I’m an artist and appreciate the quality of these pastel pencils. Easy to sharpen, blends really well, and stays on the pastel paper without too much mess. There’s a good variety of colors and it comes in a nice metal tin.

Nice to have when drawing with soft pastel sticks. A little harder than I would prefer, but a natural addition to a drawing set of tools.

I am a mixed media artist & definitely Not a Fine art artist. These pencils exceed my needs. They are beautiful & easy to use. Colors are clear & true. I can sharpen them with a pencil sharpener (I use good quality, sharp sharpeners, not crappy ones) I was concerned about that because a lot of pastel pencils have to be sharpened with a blade & quite frankly I’m not up for that so I was thrilled to find pencils that worked so well & can sharpen easily.

Love this pastel pencils. Works great on Pastelmat, you'll be amazed with the results. More creamy texture for blending, blends smoothly without creating any hard edges. Good pencil set for beginners and for professionals. Also with this colors you can any type of skin tone. Lot of skin colors also included for painting portraits.

This was the first time I ever used soft pastel pencils. I love them. I saw in the previous reviews that many people were upset because they had trouble sharpening them. They do not have any wax in them to keep them together, so they will never hold up to any pencil sharpener. They are rather delicate, but that is because of the way they are made. They lay down beautiful layers of pigment that rub right into the tooth of the paper, and that's what they are supposed to do. Love, love, love these pencils.
