Super pigmented and smooth
Crazy amount of pigment. Smooth and easy to blend. Though I didn’t buy it for the black shade, it’s incredible and makes a crazy good liner. The only draw back is that there’s more fallout than with other brands. I do my eyes first so I don’t care; but others may find it more than a little annoying.

Nice matte formula! Easy to work with!
This comes in a nice outer product box. The shade names are on the back of the box and palette, along with ingredients. It is cruelty free, paraben free, talc free, and gluten free. It is made in the USA.The palette has a matte, kind of rubber feel on the front. Not sure what exactly it is, but it’s smooth. It is a red color. The back has the shade names. Inside the palette the lid has a mirror that is the full size of the mirror. There is a dual-ended brush included. One end is a small blending brush, the other is a small pointed pencil brush. It is made of plastic and really thin. The hairs are soft. The brush works, but it definitely isn’t a high end brush. I always find that usually the brushes included with palettes aren’t that great, but they work. This is an all matte palette. The mattes are soft, smooth, and pigmented. There’s a lot of kickback in the pan, but I never really mind that. Usually, when I see that, they end up being easy to blend, which was the case with these. They apply easily, with great pigment, but are easy to blend out. There is a nice variation in the shades - a light shade that can be used as a transition shade or to blend out other shades. There’s 3 that can be used as a crease shade or lid shades. Then there’s a deeper shade that can be used to deepen things up. I like when a palette has that kind of variation.I’m very fair, so sometimes red eyeshadows can end up making me look like I have pink eye 😂 So, I wasn’t totally sure how I’d feel about this palette. But, they have enough of a brownish undertone to them that they don’t have that effect on me. There’s the lightest shade. That’s like a warm peachy brown color. The next shade is slightly darker than the first, but same kind of warm peachy brown. Then there’s a berry red shade that’s still not overly red once you mix it with the other shades. Next is a brown with a warm undertone. Finally, there’s a black. It’s not patchy at all, which is great. Its pigmented, but not extremely, which I like so that it’s easy to work with. I like the color story a lot more than I thought I would. I also don’t usually go for all matte palettes because I like shimmer on my lid. But, this is small enough it works as a great supplemental palette to my all shimmer palettes!Overall, this is a beautiful palette. The packaging is beautiful. It’s small and compact. It feels really nice. The mattes perform amazing. They are soft, smooth, pigmented, and blend easily. If this is a color story that you love, this would be a great palette to get. I thought $32 (at the time of writing this review) was pretty pricey for a 5 pan palette, but then when I broke it down per shade, it was only $6.40 a shade, which doesn’t seem too bad. All of them perform great, so if this is a color story you like, I would recommend it!

Pretty Colors in a Really Nice Sturdy Case
Update: I used this last night for a date with my guy and I completely experimented with it, going super dramatic. And boy was I happy with the results. My guy commented on it too, and usually he doesn't really notice my makeup so much. He seemed to like the look quite a bit! A lot of pigmented drama. I used the black to line my upper and lower lashes and even came out some in a sort of 'angel wing' thing but more dramatic. I just had so much fun with it and the colors are super flattering on me. And the color LASTED! Very happy with this set.--------I wasn't sure about 'blushing berries,' fearing the colors would be too red for my tastes, but though the colors are vivid, they are complementary and still somehow subtle 'red-wise' as they have enough brown tones in them to tone down the redness. The black I likely won't use. I suppose one could use it as a liner but I don't think that would work well, really, for me. However, if you are good at doing a smoky eye, this black would work for that. They are very powdery so they go on easily and softly. I put some on my arm and was able to wipe them off with a damp cloth VERY easily so just note that they aren't waterproof or long-lasting, which I don't mind. The case is a real winner here; it's sturdy and very well made--it would travel quite well too. I'd love to find a use for it once empty. Really, I think they should have refills because the case is too nice to toss once empty. The brush included has a wider angle end and a tapered end, and it is very well made too. Also, Made in the USA!I'm impressed with this set. It's a little pricey, but you often 'get what you pay for," and I'm done with the cheaper makeup!
