Not very sturdy - Updated to Awful
Well, having just gotten this yesterday, I haven't had a chance to use it on the beach/sand. However, just from messing around with it in the house, I am questioning why I spent so much money on what appears to simply be the frame of a flimsy stroller, with enlarged wheels. The chair 'extension' that you stack the beach chairs on is only supported to the frame by the mesh hanging bag. So the heavier the weight of the chairs, the more stretched the mesh bag gets. I wonder the strength/weight ratio? From the feel of it by simply pushing down a bit on the chair holder 'extension', it is not a lot. Assembly was ridiculously simple, so 5 stars for that. You can fit a small cooler on the bottom, although that uses up part of the area for filling the mesh bag & I wonder if the nylon 'bottom' of the cart will support a loaded cooler? There is the possibility the mesh bag can be pushed in front of the cooler & filled that way I suppose. My main concern is that when loaded with all the picture shows it can carry, will this hold up to being lugged over the same to the shore?I'll have to update at that time. 5/4/15 - This is a piece of junk. Seriously. Do NOT waste your money on this. One day - not even - was all I got out of it. It started falling apart not 5 minutes into using it. The rubber 'wheels' on the front twisted off all 4 wheels first. Then material across the bottom started ripping away from itself to the point of almost tearing apart all together. Maneuvering this thing is almost impossible - sand or pavement. I don't care what anyone else writes about this being "fantastic" or the "best thing on wheels" - it isn't. We hung two folding beach chairs - not heavy at all, just basic sand chairs off the chair hanging 'arm' & saw that the bottom piece started stretching. Then we put a little cooler with three scoops of ice & 6 bottles of water in it in the net hanging thing - sure enough the bottom thing stretched even more. Sun lotion, 2 towels, wallet & keys went in the basket & a small umbrella strapped on the side. Between the wheels unraveling themselves from the 'rims' on the front & the bottom literally pulling apart as we pulled it (properly on it's back wheels) through the sand, it was more effort in trying to keep this hunk of junk together than just carrying the stuff ourselves - which we ended up doing the rest of our vacation. I have added photos below to see the shoddiness of workmanship. I have contacted the seller to return the product (it has to be done by 7/15/15 I believe), so we'll see what they say. I will update if I hear anything. I really wished this would have worked - it could have been the solution for solo trips to the beach...

New version of cart is poor quality, can't return - avoid seller NetStoreUSA
The newest incarnation of this beach cart is very low quality. We had one of these for fifteen years. The old model was great and never failed even with heavier loads than what I put on this new one. The new one has the following issues: Front wheel failed immediately on first use. The entire wheel came off and the tab to hold it on was bent. Fixed it up and then rubber "tire" deformed and popped off the wheel and doesn't stay on anymore, even on pavement. * The umbrella when placed in the holder and chairs slung on the rack drag against front wheels - poor design. So disappointing to see quality slip when buying newer versions of good products.Lastly, When filing for a return I unfortunately learned that the company we did business with through Amazon (NetStoreUSA) only accepts new, still bagged & tagged items for refund and will only ship replacement parts. I was astounded at this return policy, first time ever encountering this on Amazon with one of their affiliates. If the item is used they only ship replacement parts or do warrantee process with the manufacturer. I'm going to try to escalate but I am likely stuck with this thing and am very disappointed. Avoid this seller on amazon.

It works, but.......
2019 Updated: I found a nice set of 4 replacement wheels for 13.99 on Amazon. See photo attached. You can use all the existing parts and need to make only a small adjustment. Take a coarse sand paper or a file and make the black center piece between the wheels just a hair shorter. Or you can buy a screw about 4" long, this will work too.2018: I was very reluctant to buy this cart, because of the many negative comments I have read.We just returned from a week at the beach. The cart was very useful to carry 2 sun lounges, a heavy beach umbrella, a duffel bag and 2 large towels. Here are my comments:The cart is designed to be pulled, always, including on paved surfaces. The small wheels are very flimsy and not designed to carry a load. (I'm expecting that I will replace these wheels at one point, with a stronger, generic set from a hardware store. The wide wheels worked well, even in the loose sand. The small little bag included, is ok for a base ball cap and things like sunglasses, but nothing heavy. Does not close, no zipper. The little fabric cup for the umbrella is so flimsy, I didn't even make an attempt to use it.The net is kind of small, I put the duffel bag with the smallest side down.I secured the sun lounges with straps onto the cart, this made it easy to move over rough ground.I give it an overall rating of 3.5. It is a useful cart, but you have to be creative..I have nothing to compare with, maybe other carts offered are a little bit sturdier.....

Best beach product ever!
You have to have this cart! It will save your back. It will make you not hate walking to the beach! It will make everyone happy!! I put 2 chairs, a 6 can cooler, 2 full beach bags, and a large umbrella in this puppy with no problem!! I could have added more. You can easily push this until you hit sand, then you will need to pull it. It's not a cakewalk in the sand, but ALOT better than breaking your back carrying all that stuff. Steers great on land!Update: this is our 3rd weeklong beach trip with this product and it is still going strong. We take it over concrete and wooden decking every trip. Sometimes around 1/4 a mile with no problem. One small wheel cover got dislodged one time and I easily popped it back on. It packs down to a small size for transport in the car. Not sure why so many negative reviews, but for the casual beach goer this is worth every dime.See photos from 3rd trip where we had 1 large umbrella, 2 chairs, 1 cooler, and 2 beach bags. There was still some room and a ton of room in the pouch at the handle for keys, phone, toys, etc.
