Circle of Friends

This movie is one of my favorites from my adolescent years. It's just a good, relatable, quirky love story that gave rise to Minnie Driver's career and was one of the early films for Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger from Game of Thrones).Seeing it on BluRay for the first time was really nice, as well. The picture quality is (of course) so much improved over the VHS I had 20-something years ago. I used a Playstation 4 to play it, and we had none of the problems mentioned in older reviews about playback or European versions. I'm not sure if that's down to the PS4 or not, though.I really, really hope that Amazon Prime will add this title to streaming someday. It's a title that seems to be fading into obscurity, and it's such a good story. I'd hate to see that happen, and I'm sure there are plenty of younger viewers who would love it as much as I have.

I've searched for this movie for years and was so happy I found it! I last saw it when I was the character's age. Such a magical time period. Wonderful actors and story.

Will enjoy watching it when I have time.

Great movie

I have not watched this movie in so long and could not find it anywhere. It was sooo good.

Well, I’m not sure if I’m right or not, but I’m not fully convinced that this a true Blu-ray Disc or just a disc put into a box that looks like a Blu-ray box. I’ve bought Blu-ray Discs before and am fully aware of what they look like when you buy them from new. 2 things. (A) they are very hard to get into, and once you do the blu-ray logo is left once you take the film off, and (B) there are almost always inserts with things pertinent to your disc. Neither one of those things happened, or were there, and you could also tell that it was just shrink wrapped like ones I’ve seen for sale at discount places. The disc plays well enough. It’s just lucky that my particular Blu-ray player also plays ordinary dvd’s. So no problem, hopefully, of this dvd, a real Blu-ray or otherwise, hurting my player. I enjoyed watching one of my fave movies again!
