Great Book for Teaching Emotions!
As a mom, I love finding books that help my little one navigate big feelings, and *Daniel Tiger’s I’m Feeling Mad* is perfect! It teaches kids how to handle frustration in a simple, relatable way with Daniel’s familiar and comforting approach. The "when you feel so mad that you want to roar" strategy has been a lifesaver in our house! The illustrations are bright, the story is engaging, and it opens up great conversations about emotions. Highly recommend for any parent trying to help their child learn healthy ways to manage anger!

Cute Book, Well Parallels the Series, Does Include the Song Lyrics in Text
I am so super happy I purchased this book, it's one of those "I could squeal" moments. After I was able to get our son, who has Autism among other things, to accept a Daniel Tiger book that closely paralleled the series, I went and ordered a few more, because it was the first new book we'd been able to get him to accept actively and patiently listening to in a while and I theorized the similarity to the series he loved made it easier for him. Success number two! And this one, only took about a week, as opposed to the months the first one took! Oh, I am so giddy! So this one parallels some of the parts of season one, with characters who get mad. And it even has the "If You Feel so Mad..." song lyrics in there. Which, my son, he loves music, loves singing, and I had been using that song with him. So me pairing that with reading this book worked really well to engage his interest, and now he even growls at the roar part and will blow out at the take a deep breath part and I'm about ready to freak out, that's how happy I am with how this has turned out!Overall, I think this is a cute, solid board book that teaches a positive approach to channeling anger (taking a deep breath and counting to four), and my little guy is kind of like a volcano, mostly gentle dormant protests, but he does like to blow up from time to time, so I love that there is a companion book to go with the song I can now read to him to help reinforce gentle means of blowing off the steam. I love it!

Teaching tool for 2-year old
Our daughter was having tantrums. (A 2-year old? Having tantrums? Who would have thought!) We bought a bunch of books about anger to help teach her to self-soothe and deescalate conflicts. This one and "A Little Spot of Anger" by Alber are my two favorites. This one is nice and short and easy to get through. We've also watched this episode of Daniel Tiger, although I imagine it's easy enough to find the song on YouTube so you can sing along. We knew this strategy was working because when she would get mad, we'd sing the song, and she's get momentarily even angrier. Sounds counter-intuitive, but eventually she would calm down, and also eventually she stopped getting angrier when we sang/gave directions, and would start taking the deep breath. It had to get a little worse before it got better. Now when we tell her she has to wait for mom and dad to finish eating dinner before we can all have dessert, she takes four deep breaths and then tells us she's being patient. WHAT! She's not even 3 yet. Daniel Tiger's a genius.

Helps with learning how to handle anger
Really enjoy this small board book. My son was struggling with hitting when he was mad. He loves Daniel the tiger so this book helped him to learn how to handle his anger. We remind him to take a deep breath and count to 4. He loves that Daniel does this too! Definitely recommend this book if your toddler is hitting or not knowing how to handle their anger. Sweet and simple. It is a simplified version of the episode.

My Daughter Loves This Book!
My almost 2 year old loves reading this little board Daniel Tiger book. The pages are thicker so it's easier for her to turn them. The content is identical to the tv episode. :) The last page is nice too because it gives parents tips on how to handle anger in kids. Very affordable price. We're happy we purchased this!

Gives great advice that young children can actual understand and apply!
This book really spoke to my child!! He is 4 and has been getting in trouble for outbursts/getting mad at school and home and not being able to cool down. None of my ideas were working, so I ordered this book. My son has always enjoyed watching the show and I do love that there is a short song to remind the kids what they are learning. This book has a little song and after just one read, my son was signing it and actually did use the suggestions from the book on how to calm down and not get so mad. I loved how engaged my son got into this book; that rarely happens! I plan to order more in this series. The books is just long enough to keep a young ones attention as well.

Cute Book 4 year old liked it
Bought this for my very sweet but easily angered 4 year old nephew. He was very grateful, and wanted to hear the story right away. Story was super simple to follow, not overly wordy and not too short. The calm down rhyme was cute and very easy to remember. We put the rhyme to practice right away and it worked. Not a behavioral changing book by any means but just a fun and simple rhyme to add to a young child’s coping tool kit.
