Next Time You See a Seashell

I bought this book for a unit I was teaching about the beach in third grade science and reading. This book was so much more than I expected! It goes into a lot of detail about sea shells and is written so students can easily read and understand it. I left this book sit out on a table during the unit with a small box of sand and shells and the kids loved it! They explored the shells and would look up what kind it was in the book. Another plus about the book is that it has easy activities that can be completed with it listed in the back! I would definitely recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn about shells.

I read this book to my students after observing seashells. I chose to read it after because while observing, they had some questions, such as why some shells had holes in them, and this book answered those questions! It could be used either for children reading on their own, or as a read-aloud in class. The pictures are big and colorful. It's a wonderful book with great images and information for all ages!

Loved and and will keep forever

I read this book to our first and fifth grade science buddies. Suddenly my students were bringing in shells and egg cases from the beach to share and classify. Emily Morgan has a way of drawing all children into the awe of science around them. It gives them an appreciation for the wonders of nature all around them everyday.

Gave to 5 year olds with a collection of shells, they really enjoyed !

Great photos, informative at a level my 3 year old could understand and I even learned a thing or two. My 3 year old is obsessed with seashells and is been wanting to buy this book a while. It didn't disappoint!

Very disappointed in this book. It stated that it was a great book for beginners, but there were only about a dozen shells listed.

Great book. Excellent quality and photos. Gave it as a gift and it was well received.
