Hubbell-Bell 5145-0 Weatherproof Cover 4-1/2 in L X 4-9/16 in W, Gray, Die-Cast

Good protection for outdoor switches.

I bought this toi replace one I had bought locally at a hardware store - this one is more ruggedly build and should last forever.

The cover is solid and well made. The problem I had was that the screws provided did not work in the waterproof box I had - they were too small given the hole positions (it could take these smaller ones, but only if holes closer to the corners). I had to use larger diameter screws and then widen the holes in the cover to take them. Once I did that, it worked fine. I note that I have 2 other covers (toggle switch, single clear bubble type) and they each had the right holes/screws. So, I do not know if Bell is not following some standard or if there is more than one "standard". But, something to be aware of.Otherwise, it works perfectly.

Metal with gasket - this is good.

The product is well made and looks good. But the problem is: the holes on the cover do not lineup with those on a regular box, beside the screws are are too short. I will have look else where for water proof 2 gang cover and return this one.

Fit base as expected and came with foam seal that allows punch out areas.

Works on double gang box. Cannot gind anymore
