Not too difficult of an install
I'm just a computer nerd who is trying to become more handy. Had a gear-head friend help me since he has a lot of tools, but I could've easily done this in my own garage (don't all computer nerds own floor jacks and jack stands?). The instructions were pretty clear to follow, but some Youtube video also helped gain a basic understand of what's going on here.We got it done in about 2 hours. Took the tires off, two jack stands on the axles, then later used the floor jack with a spacer (wood) to lift on the hitch receiver when you go to fasten the bottom of the bag to the bottom plates. We did not use the fricking $10 tube cutter to cut the air tubes. Just fricking cut them straight and not an oval, so they fit in the shark bite connectors properly. Fricking nickel and diming people. Although this was a pretty good price, as the local hitch guy wanted $800 for a full install. Jeesh. I will get dirty for that price.Ran the air hoses and schrader valves out the back above the spare tire to the plastic next to the license plate with minimal zip ties (included!). Plenty of hose to work with. Close your eyes and pray as you cut to length.I did not get an onboard air compressor, which seems like a ton more work, including electrical. My scenario is just for hauling my 5th wheel camper, so I won't need to adjust air on the go. I just bought a $60 inflator that I carry in the camper for remote usage, but just fill up the bags at home with the garage compressor before I go pick up the camper.

Air Lift Experience
I have a 2013 F150 that I tow an 8,000 lb travel trailer with and the back end would drop a good 5 inches when attached. I also blew out the shocks when hauling dirt from a sand and gravel company. So, I thought this would be a good time to get some heavy-duty shocks and Air lift system installed.Once installed I hauled some dirt again and the box did not drop, but the truck did feel a little unstable driving at higher speeds of 55 mph, but it was nice not to have the back drop to the frame and the shocks did not break. When towing the travel trailer it was great, it did not drop and the ride felt much more stable than before. For both cases of hauling and towing, I had the PSI set at 30. This system can go up to 100 PSI.When filling the system with air, I only had to use a tire pump that was powered by the aux power in the truck.I had a local shop install this, but they had difficulties installing them so I was charged more than the 2 hours installation time described in the details. I would suggest having someone that has done this before installing them.

This kit includes everything you will need.
Installed these bags last weekend on my 2010 Ford F150. Aside from some minor grinding on only one of the four bottom brackets (to fit inside the spring U-bolts, which were slightly cocked together at the factory) this kit is fully comprehensive, and I used the tubing protector and the exhaust shield as well. It took only about one hour and I pumped the bags (Firestone with the internal jounce bumper, which is the feature that I bought these for) up to 40 PSI and left them overnight: no leak-down AT ALL in twelve hours. I was very impressed with the gauge and quality of the steel brackets. This is a well-thought-out product that will fit any F150 from 2004 to 2014. I would buy it again with no hesitation.

Awesome product.
This kit is perfect for my 2006 F150. Works great. I've been using it for a few months to pull a toy hauler and haven't had an issue. Great ride. Install was easy. I also purchased standard compressor with it, which also works great. Air Lift customer service is top notch.A tip if installing this and a compressor yourself:1st install the bags following the instructions with one exception: Don't drill the holes for your Schroeder valve fittings. Then install the compressor following the instructions. After you've installed both items and have your air line routed where you'd like. Then drill your holes for the Schroeder valve fittings. (Might save you from drilling an extra hole and having to find something to plug it. Not that I know that from personal experience or anything...)
