Good book

I just want to say I love this book. It's hard to come across a good book that's interracial based but with the combination of a black mom and white father. Other books I came across had negative wording in it when it was describing the black mother but gave the white father positive description. The book I like was created by a black author and the wording is so positive and appropriate. Its fair and balanced. This is one of my daughters favorite books. She sees herself and her household in this book. BUY THIS BOOK! I hope she continues to make more.

This is a beautiful children’s book, and thankfully illustrated with a multi racial family. Sadly, these books are not easy to find in the stores, but thank you amazon!!! This is what my family looks like and I love having this book for my child🥰

This is my son’s favorite book right now. He and his brothers are a quarter Dominican, and have a lot of mixed cousins. This book helps to illustrate for him how beautiful it is to be part of such a big, mixed family, and to experience such a rich variety of cultures. He loves looking at the pictures of the family, and trying to memorize the words of the different birds in the different languages, helping to pique his interest in learning new languages. We read this book almost every day, and he delights in it like it’s the first time we’re reading it every time.

Great book. My 3 year old loves it and understands it. The only thing that could be improved is the word flow on some pages. A couple pages feel a little choppy.

My daughter really enjoyed the book and I thought it was the perfect book for children, especially during times like this when race is such a big topic. I love that it showcases every race without actually saying that the children are “black, white, Asian, etc”I even recommended it to one of the parents that I work with and she said her son LOVES it also.Thank you again for creating it! 💕

We absolutely LOVE this book. As a mixed race family, it's great to have books like this that teach our daughter to love and embrace all facets of her. It's brilliantly written and has such a sweet and warm tone. We read it to our daughter often. Definitely worth pursuing!

A firm bookshelf favourite! The story explores various aspects of mixed heritage, from hair, to culture to food etc. My daughter loves the rhyming rhythm and has lots of fun trying to learn the different words on the pages about language. Often find her flicking through this on her own, where she points to the main character and says “me!”Growing up mixed, I would have loved to have seen this sort of representation celebrating that identity, rather than believing you must be only one thing or another.Beautifully written and illustrated, a fantastic book with an important message.

What a great book. Completely relatable in our home. It’s nice to see a book where the interracial couple is that of a WM and BW. I find it’s often the other way around. It was nice to mention jollof rice as we eat that at home as well. Just super relatable, well written, great message and beautifully illustrated
