This electric motor was a good fit for our electric fireplace. The size of the back post was bigger than the original but we were able to adjust the rubber casing and make it work.The wires are both the same color but we connected them according to the original motor. It took some work to remove the part, make the adjustments, connect the wiring and put it back together but it was worth it. It took us about 1 and a half hours to do the job.The motor works great and it makes the flames move and appear real. This motor is both CCW-counter clock wise and CW-clock wise so that it can rotate both directions. This means that sometimes the flames appear to go down instead of up but if it bothers you, just turn it off and back on until the flames rotate correctly.After replacing this motor, the heater started working again so we gathered that the faulty motor was causing a short that made the heater malfunction.We are very pleased with this motor and the results of the replacement.

This part was used to fix a flame burning affect for a fireplace style heater. It came in one day. It was put back where the defective piece was and the flame started to flicker. It was so nice to be able to order a part and get it one day and the issue was resolved. We are now enjoying a warm heater that looks like a real flickering flame. Thank you, Amazon!

When I tried to find a replacement for my defective motor, I went to Amazon and they had so many variations of this motor. So I took the model number off of the defective motor and found the one I ordered. It does work great, but with one little issue. The original motor was CCW only. The replacement motor was CCW/CW and that's what it did when I replaced it in my Fire Place insert. It's weird to see the flames go in reverse. But when I shut it down, and then turned it back on again, the flames went in the right direction, up. None of the motors that Amazon was listing were CCW only. They were for both. It is very quiet, and at the right speed. I would say that six times out of ten, the motor will go in the right direction, CCW.

Perfect fit

Shaft is larger in diameter than original. Rubber coupling did accommodate larger size. Motor runs in forward or reverse randomly. Other than these features, fit fine and very quiet operation.

Not same shaft size as original but I didn’t pay attention to that, I figured being the same model number it would have all been the same, but it goes into a rubber sleeve for the reflector shaft anyways and I was able to stretch the hole and make it fit. I was able to cut the old circuit board connector off the old motor and solder the wires to it. Made my wife happy she likes having the flames.

Rather than buying a new firebox for my electric fireplace, I bought this for $10. Seemed smart. Naw - it got noisy with weeks. No one wants to have a peaceful fireplace with a noisy flame.
