No good for the gym.
They have to be put right up into the ears for any kind of base. I bought these for the gym but they keep displacing with movement so that you end up with a tinny sound. The piece that holds it in the ear is not up to it. For that price you can get better.

Bassy IEM
[Update] The cable broke today and replacement cables are the same price as a new pair. Overall the quality is lacking somewhat. The tips get dislodged in the ear canal because there is no mechanism to stop them moving. The (dust)filters on tip of the buds are also not glued well, considering that IEMs need to be cleaned often as they sit deep inside the ear canal; this is a major issue. And now cable is gone in one earI bought these as a replacement for a pair of AS10s, which unfortunately didn't fit my left ear canal well and cause quite a discomfort. As such these are much more comfortable for my ear shapes.Sounds wise, AS10s are worth their 3 times higher price. The sound signature of ES4s is very bass heavy. I'm not an audiophile but these don't have the flat response of IEMs. At points they are more bass heavy than my old Sony MDRXB700; which I guess is result of having them inserted in your ear as opposed to over ear style of Sony. That being said they are comfotable for me as my ears don' try to reject them. Cable is exactly the same as AS10s, so they must be alright. Although the lows are heavy and the highs are sparkly, the middle hasn't been completely supressed. All in all, there is not much to complain for a pair of headphones this cheap. If you want to get better quality you should bump up to AS10 or ZS10.

Good Performance
Very good flat and balanced response earphone that can be used for sound monitoring.Pro:Very sensitive to tight bass you can feel it.Clear Voice Output.Crispy High for Trance and lounge music.Cons:Sometimes Highs are very sharp may hurt your ears. You should have good knowledge of sound Equalisation for better output. Will hurt your ear cuz of Wire (Bulky for soft ear) not recommended to girls.

Good for the price
I got the black ones. They are indeed transparent but darker than the pictures make it seem. The sound is really good for the price, but not objectively amazing like other reviews try to make it seem. A pair of $100+ over-the-ear headphones is pretty much guaranteed to sound better than these, but that's not what these are. I just wanted something for exercise (i.e. something that won't make me too hot, will stay secure and has good bass), and for that it's great. Bass is very strong and smooth. Mids are a bit lacking with a slight muffled quality to it, but it doesn't bother me after a few listens. Treble is adequate. It's very important to try all 3 of the rubber tips it comes with, since sound quality depends greatly on using the right ones for your ears.

WOW!
So glad I stumbled onto these headphones.I'm just an average user. Music, and podcasts at work. I've been using the cheap wired headphones, like sony, panosonic, skull candy, etc. These are basically the same price, and blow all others I've tried out of the water. Also they fit me better than any other earbud I have tried. For the average listener these are a no brainer. Podcast conversations are crystal clear. All genres of music I have listened to are great. In some cases it's like I'm hearing a song for the first time. I've read some reviews that say the build quality is lacking, but they seem to be high quality to me.The cable seems to be very robust, and connection on buds is super snug. For the price, I'm just going to buy a second pair. I was replacing my cheap buds every couple months anyway.I can't imagine someone buying these, and being disappointed with them.I'll never be able to go back to a generic earbud again.
