The best pee shield we've found - make sure it fits your toilet
Easy to clean, economical, the pee deflector actualy works, and it fits our one-year-old well. Might not fit an older child. Fits both round and elongated seats with internal holes of the correct size: 10" front to back, and 8 1/4" side to side. There is no standard for the inside hole size of a toilet seat, so you have to measure. Make sure you have a seat and kid that it will fit, and you'll be happy with it.

great seat for younger toddlers
None of my kids have been fans of training seats or potty seats I've gotten in the past; they've all wanted to use the big potty just like Mama and Daddy. Most seats that fit onto the commode slide around, have to be snapped into place (which means they can be broken when snapped back off) or are bulky and can be difficult to store. This toilet seat is different.Pros:The price is great, about half of what most seats of this quality cost.It has a completely smooth, cradling seat that could be used by any child who can sit up without assistance; it would be great for ECing with an infant. It sits under the toilet's regular seat, so that it fits any toilet and the seat holds it in place. It has a pee shield that is also built into the seat, but doesn't get in the way for a little girl, and is also smooth edged so no ouchies can happen when little boys get on or off the seat.Because of the smooth, simple design, it is easy-peasy to clean. There are no gaps, crevices, or plastic seams that mess can hide in.It is fairly compact, so I can easily store it beside the toilet for easy access.Cons:The hole is smaller than some other potty seats, which is part of what makes it great for smaller bums, but it also means that training a boy to aim is a little harder. My 4 and 5 year olds who have been using the toilet for 2 and 3 years, respectively, pee on this seat every time.Because it fits under the regular seat, it does add an extra step when (if you leave it off) the little bum needs to make use of it, or (if you leave it on,) a less-little bum needs to make use of the toilet. Not really a big deal, but if you're like most moms, and only get a chance to go pee when your bladder is about to burst, it can *feel* like a big deal.Because of the way the pee guard is designed, even my older toddler has trouble getting on the seat quickly without some assistance.I do want to add that my currently-potty training child is only 13 months old. His big brothers were much older when they started potty training, and I'm fairly certain they wouldn't have been able to use it without getting poo on the back of the seat when they were learning at age 3ish. My small-framed almost-three year old daughter will sit on it it is already on the toilet when she needs to go, and she seems to fit comfortably enough, but she does prefer it isn't on. Maybe it's just because she's been trained for over a year and is used to using the toilet without one, but I'd see about checking one out in person before buying this for an older toddler. All in all, I love this seat. All the cons are made up for by the pros (in my opinion,) The boys pee on it, but it's easily cleaned. It's slightly more of a hassle to put on the toilet and take off, but by leaving it beside the toilet, I can still get it on before my son goes on himself...most of the time. My older daughter has trouble getting on it by herself, but we just leave it next to the toilet and that eliminates that problem. I will certainly recommend this to friends and family with young toddlers.

Poor product
Tempted by the low price and promising design, my wife and I purchased this potty trainer seat. They weren't kidding when the product description notes "colors may vary" as ours arrived in a rather hideous shade of pink instead the attractive blue color shown. We could have lived with the color though had the seat been functional; alas it did not fit either of our normal, regular toilet seats. I highly recommend not purchasing this product.

Great... if it fits your toilet seat
We practice elimination communication with my little one, so we purchased this seat for my 11 pound five week old. Before we held him over the toilet which was hard on our backs. So we looked for a seat that would be small enough to fit his tiny little bum. This toilet trainer fit the bill; the seat is small enough so that he is able to sit on it as long as we hold him up on it. The high back helps stabilize him while on the trainer and the pee guard is high enough to contain his urine. We own Toto toilets so our toilet seats are elongated. However, even with the elongated toilet seat, the toilet trainer barely fits through the seat. When the toilet seat comes down over the trainer, the toilet seat no longer sits flush with the bowl. This was not an issue because the seat came down low enough that the trainer is held in place for its purpose. The only problem with the fact that it barely fits is that one time when I lifted the toilet seat, the toilet seat caught the the toilet trainer and it was lifted with the seat and fell into the toilet.NOTE: This was when the trainer was fit with the pee guard toward the front of the toilet. We use the toilet trainer with the pee guard toward the back of the toilet so that we can hold him from behind (and so that we wouldn't get sprayed just in case even though it hasn't happened because the high pee guard). The trainer actually gets wedged into the toilet seat when it is backwards, but it still works for its purpose.PROS:1. The high pee guard prevents pee from getting everywhere2. The high back helps support my little one while on the potty3. You don't have to clean and empty the trainer since all the pee/poo goes directly into the toilet4. The seat is small enough for our little guy but I can see how it would also work for older kids too5. You really can't beat the price of this trainer. The next cheapest trainer we found was double this price.CONS:1. It will not fit all toilet seats. (we took take it with us when we travel and the trainer does not always fit)2. No handles for toddlers to help them stay on the seat3. Toddlers will need help getting onto the seat because of the high pee guard09 Aug 2013 Update:So my DS is now a toddler and continues to use this seat. He actually prefers this seat to the Baby Bjorn stand alone toilet. The only issues I would say is that you need to rinse off the seat over time as pee residue collects in the pee guard and starts to smell. This is quickly remedies by washing the seat occasionally. This is still our favorite of all the potty training systems we tried (BABYBJORN Potty Chair, White, Ikea's Potty Chair, Jahgoo Potty). We ended up buying one more to leave at grandma's house.
