Q: How do you calculate negative numbers on this?

To subtract two positive numbers like (10 - 12) = -2.0 is easy. Just enter the number 10 by pressing appropriate keys then press the minus sign followed by the number 12 followed by pressing equal sign key and the number -2.0 will automatically appear on the display. Now if you want to add (-10 + -2) = -12 you enter 10 followed by +/- key just left of equal key. That turns the 10 on the display to -10. Then press the add sign (+) followed by 2 then press +/- key again followed by equal sign (=). The number on display will read -12. Hope this helps and isn't too confusing.
