I thought the stein was lovely and was excited about the good reviews. Upon receipt it looked nice, but I did not inspect it closely before giving it to my husband for his birthday. After he opened it, he noticed cracking in the metal between the lid and the piece used as a lever to open it. We returned it as damaged and received another. Unfortunately it appears that this one will do the same thing quickly- the metal is just tin and very soft. The overall look is great, but I don't think the lid it was manufactured for actual use. Very disappointing considering I paid 50 bucks for it.
