Century Martial Armor™ Shin Armor

I decided to give these shin guards a shot, because my shins have very little meat on them, and I'm constantly bumping into something that will split the skin & cause them to bleed. Because I'm a 50-something diabetic, and the abrasions on my legs will crust over, which takes a long time to heal (and a lot of band-aids & Neosporin).These shin guards are unbelievably comfortable to the point where I don't even realize that I'm wearing them. They slip on with ease & they don't bind or cut off my circulation at all. One of the things that concerned me when I order these guards, was the size/fit, so I checked out the Century website, clicked on this style of guard, and opened the size chart. I measured around my calf as shown on the chart, and I was VERY apprehensive about ordering the recommended size (I always order the next size up, or the size after that, because I'm convinced that there are small Chinese folks at the factory who are the fit models).The pair that arrived in the size I ordered fit perfectly, and like I stated before... They're very comfortable.

This is my second pair. Internal label states "not intended for combat sparring". Yet I have found that they adequately reduce impact when used in sparring. They are thin and lightweight so that I barely notice that I am wearing them. They stay in place and never interfere with range or speed of movements ---- never feel cumbersome. My only knock on them is sizing. I find the XL too large and the Large too snug. Otherwise I would have given these 5 stars.

Good quality shin guards for a decent price. They are padded just enough to absorb the bite of a hard shin blow, but not over padded so you don't feel much. This is a good thing, so one can build up somewhat of a pain tolerance in their shins for more effective combat training. These are comfortable, low-profile shin guards. These have a superior design to the ones held in place by a couple of Velcro straps. I would recommend these shin guards to any one looking for quality martial arts training gear.

My boyfriend has these when he spars and so I got myself a pair cause my sins are very bony and love the extra protection. They work great, no slipping down my shin, medium fit perfectly, true to size, and they do provide a very good amount of padding. I felt the hit, but not the pain. My boyfriend said he got them cause someone he likes to spar against always ends up matching his kicks so when they both got a pair they purposefully kicked shin against shin and felt nothing (Ps they kicked really hard too)

These are terrific. My studio only sells the standard velcro type.. you know.. the ones that look like you're duct taping a gym mat to your knees.While everybody else is wrestling (see what I did there?) with those old shin guards, I slip these bad boys on while they stare in awe.They've stayed in place without any issues. Very comfortable. I don't have any bruised shins, so they do their job.

I use these daily but not for their intended purpose. I work in a warehouse and there is low steel that easily catches you're shins. I was looking for a better alternative to soccer shingaurds when I found these and decided to give these a try. These shingaurds are just about perfect. Light weight and breathable providing entire protection of my shins . However I gave four stars because the padding is at times a little softer than I would prefer.

An extra shin protection needed for particular exercises, and I am completely covered now! Easy to wear on, lightweight, thick enough. Totally satisfied.

These are light weight and breathable. I found the sizing a bit large compared to other shin guards I have. They provide moderate protection in case of accidental contact, but beware, these should not be used for full contact sparring.
