Lovely
A lovely end to a riveting series!I picked up this book of second epilogues, though many copies of the books I had already downloaded had them within. When you become invested in a series, it's easy to be left feeling a little empty. You want to know what happens after the 'Happily Ever After'.These second epilogues all follow the stories of each sibling. Some a few years later, some more, some less, but they tie up the stories even more firmly than the original epilogues. And the addition of a short novella focussing on Violet, the matriarch of the family was a lovely surprise too!My #Bridgertonuary is complete, though I have now realised that there are a few other books I could read, The Rokesby collection, which is a series of 4 books that are set pre this particular Bridgerton clan, and work as prequels. They may just be another set I have to read!

Thank you JQ!
It's been a while since reading the Bridgerton books, but the second I opened this book I was brought straight back to one of the happiest reading experiences of my life. I enjoyed all the second epilogues, and in fact had bought a few audiobook versions of the early releases on Audible - and really enjoyed them. It's great to have a proper paper copy. My particular favourite was Gregory's secnd epilogue - without spoiling it for anyone I was almost in tears throughout. And JQ's experiment in First Person dialogue for Eloise's Epilogue was very well written - and I usually find first person dialogue hard to read - and very enjoyable. I also very much loved seeing that Violet got a tale of her own, she has always been a character dear to my heart after enjoying all the Bridgerton books.I loved revisiting some of my favourite Regency characters, and dipping into their Happy-Ever-Afters!Thank you Julia Quinn, you made me so happy!Highly reccommended.

Needed!
This is what we needed! I’m so glad Julia have is a glimpse into the future and how all their lives changed and flourished over the years!Giving us more background on Violets little love story, some may see it is anti climatic but the fact is was just pure simple love at first sight (minus childhood torment) settles so right with me for her character.

Happy ever After
I think for This review, I’m going to have to break it down into each characters second epilogue and what I thought to each one. Spoilers ahead!Daphne and Simon: Really? Having another child decades after the last one? I know Daphne wanted a big family but come on. The poor girl will be exhausted running after a child. Plus the poor child is practically going to grow up lonely considering all its siblings are ancient older.Kate and Anthony; probably the best one of the second epilogues because let’s be honest. We all love their relationship. Whether it’s the book form or Netflix’s. Kate and Anthony have an amazing relationship filled with competitiveness and we all would probably just read a book full of stories of the pall mall games and the mallet of death everyone is obsessed with.Benedict and Sophie: I didn’t see a point to this. It wasn’t about them but about Posy. So really there was no need for it. No one cares about posy or who falling head over heels at first sight with a vicar. Total let down to my favourite in the series.Penelope and Colin: Again. An entirely pointless second epilogue that wasn’t needed. Why did we need to know that Eloise already knew Penelope was lady whistledown. Just a waste of words on paper to be honest.Eloise and Philip: Another one not about the characters but about someone else. Yet I wasn’t entirely mad about this because Amanda and Oliver had been amazing in the first book. So I liked that Amanda got her own happy ever after with someone who seemed to enjoy childish pranks as much as she did. Plus it was nice to see Eloise have some children of her own too.Francesca and Michael; well we all knew this would happen. There was no other way for the second epilogue to go. However, as much as I was happy for Francesca. I think it would have been better keeping her as unable to have a child. And that’s not because I’m cruel. But merely because, a woman doesn’t go as many years as Francesca did just to then fall pregnant twice within two years. I mean I guess it could happen but it’s far fetched. But nonetheless, she did deserve a happy ending and it’s nice she got to be a mother.Hyacinth and Gareth: I was mad at the end to their book with what Isabella did so I was glad to see, she fixed her mistake and Hyacinth got to find the jewels she had spent 16 years looking for. Even though myself would have given up after like a week when I couldn’t find them. But she is stubborn I suppose. I wish Isabella had come clean and told her mother she had found them years ago and just handed them over but I guess it was better as an accomplishment for hyacinth to suddenly have found them. Why she is not suspicious about that fact, I’ll never know.Gregory and Lucy: lastly, this one. This epilogue had me on the edge of my seat, thinking it was going to end in tragedy. I feel like Julie Quinn had me anxious and it was all for nothing. But one thing that did annoy me about this was the fact hyacinth was there at the birth, yet where was hermionie? She is meant to be Lucy’s best friend yet she’s not at the birth of the twins? Surely she’s god mother to all these children. And would want to support her friend. I think this ending was just thrown in to create some drama and then sprinkle some fairy dust on it to make it all better right at the very end. No need. All in all, I’m glad the nightmare of the Bridgerton books is finally over and I will never have to torture myself again with Julie Quinn’s writing. I survived this nightmare and I have come out triumph.

Great endings
I really bought this book because I wanted to know if Francesca in 'When He Was Wicked' ever had the children she desperately wanted. I got that answer with a lovely second epilogue which JQ has said is the favourite thing she has written. I loved it as well. In fact I loved all of the 2nd epilogues and also enjoyed Violet's story even though it was bitter sweet. I fell in love with Edmund very quickly reading this short novella so found the ending very sad.I heartily recommend this book for all who have enjoyed the Bridgerton family saga.ETA:Curious though that Violet says she is an only child to Edmund but in 'An Offer From A Gentleman' Hyacinth is babysitting her cousins, who Violet tells Sophie are the children of her youngest sister.

lovely
This novella was short and lovely. We got to glimpse more of that easy kind of happiness and strength violet has. I am both sad and relieved we didn’t get more of Edmund. I’m not sure I could have come out mostly unscathed otherwise. I thoroughly enjoyed the short snippets from different moments in her life.

Un bon moment de détente
On y retrouve avec plaisir tous les héros des livres précédents dans des nouvelles amusantes, avec des situations drôles mais aussi quelquefois émouvantes. C'est facile à lire même en anglais, je recommande sans modération, c'est léger.

The Bridgetons; Happily Ever After
Well such a good conclusion to the Bridgeton series. What did l like most in the book? Firstly l loved and laughed with the annual sports day. I thought it was like Harry Potter's Quidditch games - all craziness and competition. Next it was great to see more of Francesca. She was daughter who was there but wasn't in the first few books "married and up in Scotland". So to hear more about her was a joy. I was pleased that Hyacinth finally found this missing jewellery, not for the value, more to end her constant frustrated searching. Finally it was lovely to get the back story about Edmund and Violet and to understand why Violet was happy not to pursue any further relationships after Edmund passed away. Overall it had been a wonderful ride through the Bridgerton era.
