Much to my displeasure The second time I went to use the knife, The blade was rusted
Caveat emptor!I was so excited to get this neat gardening knife. I used it, some, the day it arrived, good sharp blade. I set it down for a couple weeks because I get busy at other things. Much to my displeasure, The blade was covered with rust!I can get the rust off. Also, I’m all for maintaining our tools. This is an outdoor knife.? I use it every time I use it , it’s got rust that’s absurd. I asked for return but I was told , by the seller, that I had exceeded the 30 day Time frame. I guess the seller know that the life sucks I mean RUSTS

Better than I expected
Well built, solid blade and handle. I am very satisfied with the knife - however, be aware it is not that sharp when first purchased - you need to sharpen it before using.

Great for landscape fabric removal, and pruning of wide-bladed grasses like Phormium/ flax or Cordyline
I own a small landscape maintenance company with four employees, and given that, I'm always on the lookout for the very best tools to streamline our processes and keep everybody safe from repetitive stress and other injuries that can occur from dull or poorly built tools.I recently picked up this pruning knife, because I was attracted by the fat grip and the curved blade, which I thought might be helpful in nipping into landscaping fabric when cutting out little circles to plant, or when actually removing old, funky landscaping fabric in the garden. After only two months, it has surpassed all of my expectations. I purchased two to start, one for myself, and one for a crew leader who was about to do a major landscape fabric removal project. After she used it for two days straight, she deemed it an indispensable part of her toolbox, and the crew member who worked with her on that project strongly requested to have one as soon as possible. After outfitting the whole crew, I've been pleased to find how long the blade stays sharp, how easy it is to clean if you get a little soil mucked up in there (as you will when you work), and how comfortable the handle is.I've also found it works exceptionally well for pruning Phormium/ flax grasses as well as Cordyline and others that have wide, thick blades that often resist pruning via normal pruning shears. Because the blade itself is so slim, all you need to do to prune is to grasp the stalk or stalks, and take a quick swipe with the curved end of this blade. "It's like cutting through butter," said one of my crew members. While pruning wide bladed grasses like this is usually nobody's favorite task, this tool certainly made it a swifter process, which was good news for both my clients and the crew. While I haven't tried it for its intended purposes of pruning, thinning fruits, and grafting, I imagine that with a quick swipe of a sharpener (if you've been using it in the soil), it would work great for those things too. I really like that the grip is rounded and wide enough to be very comfortable and not feel as though your gloved hands are going to slip off. And the sharpness of the blade and the curved shape of it have made it a big hit with the crew. I've been very happy with the Bahco brand and intend to continue purchasing more tools from them to test.
