Chronicle Books Moby-Dick

I am on my third trip through Moby Dick. I wasn't sure if this book was for me or for my grandchildren when I ordered it. For me, it is well done. The artistry and mechanics both seemed excellent; each page brought me back to a key part of the book. I'll try it next with the younger ones, not quite sure how it will work.

Versione emozionante della storia di Melville, sia per l'uso sapiente del pop-up a più livelli, che offre una profondità teatrale all'opera, sia per quello dei colori, piatti ed intensi, sia della grafica e del lettering. I trafori delle scene si adattano in modo perfetto alle illustrazioni sintetiche di Jolivet.

Carino, purtroppo la parte scritta è resa in modo molto "hipster", cambiando carattere o dimensione ad ogni frase o paragrafo. Questo lo rende un po' ridondante e pesante. Per un pop-up mi sarei aspettata più cura della parte tridimensionale e un testo semplice. Era un regalo, è piaciuto ma fosse per me non lo ricomprerei.

The concept of the book is great but the quality of the product is rather poor and it does not work as it supposed to. Seem the paper is too thin in some places and it does not open with the desired effect
