Green Arrow Vol. 8 The Hunt For The Red Dragon

I'm so pleased to see DC are continuing this reprint of the classic Mike Grell run on Green Arrow to completion.This contains a number of stories but the most notable of them re-unites Oliver with Shado at the request of a wealthy billionaire who tasks Oliver with finding the Dragon.Once again this is well drawn, well written and tells a number of interesting (and world aware) tales of by far my favourite version of Oliver Queen.I loved his mid/late forties Oliver than and I love it even more now I've reached that age. A classic series.

Mike Grell's prolific 80's & 90's run of Green Arrow continues in this thrilling volume. Grell himself is an avid hunter, so having Green Arrow face off against multitudes of hunters in Vol. 8 must have been a very personal writing subject and it shows. Green Arrow gives impassioned speeches on the virtues of a hunter all the while becoming even greater a hero. Arrows fly and morality is questioned in this awesome comic book. I am so glad I started reading this run as Mike Grell truly is the greatest writer Green Arrow has ever had. This volume is another great collection of this fantastic series. Highly recommend it.
