Tower T938013 Freedom Sensor Bin with Fingerprint Proof Coated Exterior, 60 Litre Capacity, Stainless Steel

After evening literally hundreds of these style bins, I.opted for this one and haven't been disappointed. It works so well.I have no problem with bin.liners, I buy cheap basic 50l liners and as long as they are fitted properly, you can't see them. Although working out how to fit them took 10 mins or so and a few attempts. The only negative is that the thinner trim that sits on the thicker/larger trim and secures the liner inside is rather flimsy and mine broke very early on. However, Amazon were just excellent and replaced immediately with no issues. I would not let this put me off at all just extra care when wiping this thinner trim.All in all great bin, been asset in my small kitchen.

These bins look really smart in the kitchen. Are easy to clean and the automatic swipe of hand opening and closing never ceases to amuse. Don't work to close to the bins or they open when not required. Seperate compartments mean recycling easy to sort. The divided side is a little unstable but works fine.

the stainless;ss steel is good quality, the plastic retaining rings, will need to see how they last over time in a busty household. ?I suspect that they won't last. also, the metal is thin, so whilst the bins are good quality, I do think they could be better for the price.Edit 20/06/22: owned the bins for just over a year. One the opening mechanism has died on completely. The Tower site is utter cack so can’t see if I could make some sort of warranty claim. Opened up the lid myself to see what has gone wrong, basically there’s a spring that sits inside a slot on the opening bar. It’s glued in, so when the glue fails the bin no longer opens. Also the bins have loads of small gaps and ridges that get gunged up with bin juice. So are a bugger to clean.Really wish I hadn’t bothered.

The media could not be loaded. Awful product and service. NEVER buy it!!Bought our 1st one in June 21 and it quickly developed a fault where the sensor detected motion but the lid wouldn't open, making a loud ratcheting sound as if the mechanism teeth had broken. This was replaced in November 21 and the warranty activated on the new product (I believed that warranty re-started afresh on a replaced product). Fast forward to now and the replacement has developed the exact same fault (obviously a design flaw in the product). After contacting Tower customer "support", I use that term VERY loosely! They wanted war and peace, photo's, I even sent a video of the lid making the loud noise, after each contact they wanted more info. Result = they're refusing to replace the faulty bin because we don't have the original June 21 purchase warranty. We're still fighting our case but it's falling on deaf ears. NEVER buy this product and for sure we won't be buying from Tower ever again.

It doesn't take up too much room, I love the hands free open and close style, you don't have to constantly wash hands when preparing a meal and disposing peelings or packaging.

This bin is literally the only one I could find that both the recycling and the bin were motion sensor. I really like the concept and the sizes of the bin itself, it’s just not quite as robust as I would have expected for the price tag. They wobble a lot when opened, they don’t sit perfectly together and due to the bracket at the back of the recycling bins, they don’t sit at the same place along the wall, it’s minor irritations but for the price of it, I expected more.

Love the size of the bin. Works well in my kitchen. Easy to empty. Easy to clean. The flip up lid I'm getting used to very easy to use when your hands are full.

Pretty disappointed in the quality given the price. Only had it a couple of weeks and one of the lids doesn't fully open any longer. The sensor often gets confused, on both bins, sometimes it doesn't open at all but it counts down as though it is open. The large bin at the bottom has no removable container so you have to be very delicate when emptying and cleaning. I can't see it lasting well. None of the bins are smooth inside so there are nooks and crannies that will over time get filled with dirt as they are difficult to clean. The bins are far flimsier than I would expect for this price. Very disappointed.
