KastKing Valiant Eagle Spinning Reels, Black Gold Fishing Reel, Size 1000

Great value for the money, well built reel, function is effortless very smooth operation forward and reverse. I have only had it 4 months and cast diving baits at a lake pretty constantly reel seems durable at this point. The Valiant has the high retrieval ratio and is made for fresh or salt water so should survive a submission if you're a kayak fisherman.

I love this reel paired it with acc crappie stix 7'6" for speckled trout and fun fighting bull reds with it, can cast a mile. Been in boat for 2 years now and I fish 2-4 times a month. It may have got lubed a time or two, and has handled hundreds of fish. I need to get another reel soon and thank you, kastking for all the joy this reel has brought me.

This is my first KastKing I've purchased and have used it for one season. I like the size for my light weight fishing setup. Has a smooth motion and looks great.

I have used this reel several times now. At first I was impressed with the line lay and smoothness but, that has been become some less impressive as of late. I have had to reshim the spool twice to keep the line even on the spool. Not sure what keeps going out of adjustment. The reel has a little bit of grit to it now after some hours of use. I image if I cracked the gearbox open, removed the factory grease and added some high quality lube it would smooth out again.It will get the job done but, it has some stuff competition in the price point from the likes of Daiwa and Pflueger.
