Design and function are perfect. Tried to shave with it streight out of the box. Not honed enough. Few passes with honing compound and strop fixed that. The only reason I marked it less than 5 stars for beginners is the additional knowledge and tools needed to finish the blade before use. Otherwise the blade catches and inexperienced person may try to pressure through rather than back off.

I've had a handful of straight razors over the years. Some expensive, others less exigencies with disposable blades. This is #1 in straight razors (no I'm not getting paid). Beautifully designed and perfectly sharpened straight out of the box. Absolute best.

Good quality product. Nice clean shave. The weight and feel of the razor is natural and let's me know it's not cheaply made even if it is from China.

Solid razor. No where near sharp enough to shave with. Needs honed.

It is true it is stainless steel, I exposed to salty water and hold well. Very mild stains. That is the positive. Still I think the seller should be more forward and specific about their steel composition. ACRO steel? Never heard of it. Honing it is difficult.The knife is made in China and priced as if it were made in Germany or in the USA. So the price is inflated by a 100 dollars.I didn’t bought it from Amazon. And I regret this purchase.
