The Insiders

This is the first of a trilogy and my first ever Tijan book. I got the last as an arc in a goodreads giveaway so naturally had to read the first two. This book is probably a 3.5 for me.After a failed kidnapping, Bailey finds out her father is one of the biggest tech geniuses around and her idol. He is the reason someone tried to take her and now she must live on his compound with her siblings, witchy stepmother and sexy security guard Kash.The instalove/chemistry between these two was undeniable but a little weird. Kash was by far the most interesting and the mystery surrounding every aspect of his life was probably my favorite part of the book. Plus he’s sexy, dark and brooding, with a hint of danger like yes please. However, there seemed to be a lot of repetitive talk which I didn’t appreciate because it stalled the book. I also wished for more of Bailey as a genius. We hear about it but no true action where that’s concerned and Bailey being a woman in a male dominated field this would have really upped the story and my interest.Will still be reading the rest of the series and we’ll see what else is in store!

From page one this story was intriguing and the further I got in it the more invested I became in the mystery of the story.Bailey is a genius with a photographic memory. Her life is threatened when a group of people attempt to kidnap her. Now she has to make a decision about what she wants to do next. I like Bailey as a character. She is a genius, she is a talented hacker. Her life has just completely changed, but she is still full of attitude. Kash works with Bailey’s father and he is also the one that guards her. Kash is a mysterious individual and there are some details provided about him and his past that come up and with those details it is easy to start to understand the man, however, I feel like there is still plenty of secrets about him.Bailey and Kash have chemistry from the moment they meet. I wasn’t sure how a romance would play into this story when it first start, but seeing the two of them together and the connection they have formed it works. The two of them work really well together and understand each other, well Bailey understands Kash as much as he will let her for now.I love the dynamics in this story and the relationship between Bailey and her siblings, her father, her mother, and Kash. I am curious to see how these relationships will change as the story progresses and the more secrets that are revealed.If you’re looking for a forced proximity, romantic suspense story check this one out.

This has interesting and intriguing characters, possessive hero & a strong kick butt female lead. The plot drags you in and the found family aspect gives you all the tingly feels. The complexity of the emotional relationships between Bailey, her mother and her new siblings was my favorite part of this book!! I want to know more and see them grow and build on the foundation they started. Kash was perfect, strong, protective, possessive and a bit mysterious. I loved how much he cared for Bailey and how he was always there when she really needed him. There's still so many unanswered questions and I just know this series is just going to get better and better. I definitely am anxiously awaiting the next book and will be diving in as soon as it releases!!

I have been a Tijan fan for years now, and I have yet to be disappointed! The Insiders was such a pleasant surprise. Did I originally think this was standalone and was absolutely shocked to find out it was a trilogy...? YES! I NEED BOOK 2 NOW!I loved Bailey and Kash our main couple in this book! The Brain and the Brawn as I affectionately dubbed them while reading. I can't wait to learn more about their pasts and how it will shape the future they are heading towards! YAY FOR TIJAN BEING QUEEN!

Above and beyond Tijan always manages to catch me and keep me enthralled now I’m impatiently waiting for the next two books she’s definitely always going to be my one click author and the insiders is a whole new level of amazing! Totally not what I was expecting in the best of ways!
