The butter dish does everything it's supposed to do. It's glass. It's heavy. It even holds the bigger sticks of butter.It does have one issue. The top of the dish doesn't fit snug with the base. When the top is resting on the base, you can rock it back and forth. Think of a table that has one leg shorter than the rest and it rocks slightly, but still functions as a table.The feeling that sentence gives you is what this dish is like. Will I lose sleep over it? Probably not, but the thought of the rocking might occupy your thoughts each time you use it and if that sounds like a trigger, I'd maybe look elsewhere.But if you want a glass butter dish that does most of what you need, sure, I'd recommend it. Minus one star because I'll be forever haunted when I spread butter, but 4 stars because it does what it needs to.

I really wanted this butter holder to be awesome. it is very sturdy and heavy glass. But because of the tapered shape, it is weirdly hard to grip from the top. My hope was to have a one hand grip when you’re getting a bunch of stuff out of the refrigerator (butter and eggs, etc) But unfortunately unless your hand is bigger than an average male size, you have to use two hands to grab this

Very well made, Just what I was looking for to hold the larger blocks(think Kerrigold) of butter. A little bit heavy weight wise, but that is minor thing.

This is what it is - works as advertised. The only - but primary - drawback for this product is its weight and, with that, the fit of the lid making it difficult to hold and remove. It is unwieldy.

I purchase the blocks of butter so this dish is perfect and would also be excellent for the normal 4 bars of butter. Excellent quality.
