Yamalube Yamabond 5 Drying Type Liquid Gasket 70ml Tube

Q: Is this good to use for a yamaha outboard as a thermostat housing gasket maker?

I have only really use this for small engines when I assemble the two crank case housings back together. It works really well for this.

Q: What color is the liquid gasket?

This is a black liquid gasket. Almost translucent but it's not. Unless you spread it on pretty thin which is what you are recommended you do in most cases. I use a small 1/2 inch wide paint brush.

Q: Can I use this and or yamabond 4 for the Oil separator plate, located instead the crankcase?

We have never put either of these on oil separator plate so we unfortunately aren't sure.

Q: Does it resist gasoline

Not sure. I have used for sealant areas that contain oil, water and antifreeze but not gas. Search of the internet says it is gas resistance.
