It works fine. I like the concept of attaching the phone to reasonable places in the car. It's a bit tall and bulky and you can't put your phone in or take it out one handed. Still, I don't have to damage my car with sticky stuff or fry my phone by attaching it to the heat vent. And it can fold down out of the way when not in use. Overall, I would recommend it.

The clamp for this mount is aggressively strong - it's difficult for me to move it or open it and I've painfully pinched myself more than once. They provide you with an allen wrench / philips head screwdriver for tightening the arm, and I need to do this constantly. The release for the clips that hold the phone into the mount are in the center of the mount, so putting this into the clips (for me) is VERY difficult. I didn't find the design allowed me to do anything different with the mount, so I wouldn't buy it again.

The dumb thing about this phone is you have to press and hold the back lever to keep the clamp open. If you have a large phone like Note 20 Ultra, you will need to squeeze it in really hard while hold the clamp open. It's just not a practical way to do it.The title and description stating 7" phone compatibility is a bit misleading.If you have a smaller phone, this will do the trick. It's a reliably good mount, just not for larger phones.

Clips secure to anything that will accommodate the clip mechanism. That includes the dashboard. sunvisors and other parts of the dash. Easy one handed attach and detach of the phone itself. The ONLY downside so far is that it rattles a little when driving when the phone is not installed. I liked it so well I bought one for the wife's car too.

I have an expedition and an Escape and it didn't work for either vehicle or my iPhone XS with or without the case.1. Don't buy this is you have a phone the size of an iPhone XS, it won't work.2. Make sure that your dash will work before you buy.The only place I could use the clip on both vehicles was directly behind the steering wheel. This doesn't work because it blocks your vision. Over the radio the top of the dash wasn't deep enough and so the clip would just slip off. Over the passenger side the top of the dash was deep enough but it was slanted so the clip couldn't get a good grip.Make sure that you have a dash that is at least 2" deep and that the bottom of it isn't slanted, otherwise the clip just won't work.

This is the most stable mount I have ever used! Really easy to install and flexible. Going to red ride if my magnetic one.

It works best on my dash above the steering wheel. My phone locks in easily into the mount. The grip is very strong & sturdy.

I bought this to replace another phone holder that clamps onto the dash. That one didn't fit well and had a habit of falling off when making sharper turns or hitting bumps. I have had no issues with this one at all! It's super sturdy and clamps onto the dashboard really well. The only thing is it doesn't have a lip at the bottom for the phone to rest, it just clamps to the side. I have to remember this when trying to get my phone out of the holder because if I don't hold onto my phone and just squeeze the release, my phone drops straight down!
