Clarion Stellaluna 25th Anniversary Edition

I bought this book years ago for my son. I found it quite by accident in a small local bookshop. The book was so enchanting and beautiful that I just had to buy it then and there. The illustrations are so real. At the time it came with a cuddly soft stellaluna, which was a major hit with my son.We read this book together on many a cold (and indeed warm) night, morning, afternoon.....We were engrossed in the story, so touching and engaging. It was one of the most influential books in both my son and my life. He would cuddle Stella while we read, and I would get to snuggle my little wriggly boy. It was the only thing that would settle him down for a while.When I moved house recently, I found cuddly stella. I was delighted, and so was my 19 year old son! He grabbed it before I could say 'penguin'! She is now wrapped around his lampshade, I daren't touch. It brought back so many happy times. I am now buying the book again as I had reluctantly given the book away some time ago.I will keep this one for the children that I work with. Everyone should know and love Stella.

Of course the story is wonderful - but in Canada, we call this large version a “ Big Book “ and, unfortunately, I did not notice that descriptor on Amazon. And I was very surprised to receive a Big Book version of Stellaluna. It was intended for my granddaughter but now I will donate it to a nursery school.

I bought this lovely book 25 years ago but can't find it now . This gently used copy had the added surprise of being signed by the author and it arrived well ahead of the expected date . My grandchild is as enchanted by this little bat who is having a very tough day as my daughter was when we bought it for her . I was very pleased with how quickly it arrived. And the only surprise was a wonderful one .Thank you .

Very cute story and beautifully illustrated but my daughter who absolutely loves such story books does not really care for it, so I 'm a bit disappointed...

My friend had this book as a kid .. and when I gave it to her for Christmas she cried she was so happy :( <3 Thank You amazon ... this rare vintage book made her day, and it was a great bargain too!!! :)
