There was an extremely pungent chemical odor upon opening the package of this product (made in Pakistan). Thread count is low, creating a thin fabric. Colors bled out of the material after five minutes of rinsing in hot water and hand-wringing. It wasn't until after machine washing in cold water that the odor was eliminated and the color seemed to stabilize. Size is appropriate to wear in the traditional head covering style.
