High quality jack, 2 simple improvements
Update: Edited to add photos of the spring latch assembly. I bought it on Amazon for around $10. It's called 'Buyers Products B2598H Spring Latch Assembly'. I also drilled double the amount of holes in the drop tube. This helps find a hole that's a closer match to the ground level and reduces the amount of cranking. Drilling the holes was easy with a step bit. Welding the latch on was also easy. The latch pin diameter is a little bigger than the factory pin so I had to drill all holes slightly larger - again use a step bit to make it easy.This jack is great quality, my original trailer jack was too close to the truck and I couldn’t put the tail gate down. I welded in a cross bar and welded this jack to it, super easy install if you can weld.What could be better: 1) the drop leg part needs double the amount of holes. Right now it’s about every 4 inches. Easy enough to drill new ones. 2) the pin that goes through the drop leg should really just be a spring loaded pin so you don’t have to push it all the way through and then put a ring latch on the other side. I found a spring loaded pin assembly on Amazon and I’m going to try to weld it on. I’ll update this review if I get it done

Perfect for swapping out worn internals
Perfect for swapping out worn internals on top wind drop leg 7000 or 8000 lb weld-in jack on dump trailer. Existing jack photos attached. Remove top handles from old and new, lift trailer hitch high enough to drop old leg out, put new internal leg in, attach handle, lower trailer, and good to go!

Great jack for the money
My other jack was too close to the front of the trailer and I was t able to drop my tail gate down. I got this one welded on further back. Sturdy and the adjustable stand works great

I bought this for my work trailer. It is the 3rd in 15 years and I think thats good considering use on construction site. I don't know if they tell you this but the orginal that is welded to frame on my trailer is still there, I just pop top off and pull inside working parts out of square tube, remove top of the new jack in same way and insert working guts from new jack into old square tube and never have to hire a guy to remove old jack and attach new jack.
