Not what I ordered
I already have several pairs of these scissors that I bought years ago. The ones on sale looked the same. The ones I just received are not. There are several design changes that suggest that the scissors are now being made in a different factory. The ones I already had and the ones on Amazon's page are marked "Made in Finland". The ones I just received are not. The overall quality looks inferior. I am guessing that the production has moved out East. The "Made in Finland" scissors are excellent but I doubt if these will be.Amazons product picture is wrong and needs to be updated.

The Good and the Bad
The good … This pair is a replacement for the pair I have used incessantly for the last 10 years or so. They’re the one kitchen devil product that has stayed the same. Comfortable to use, pretty strong and being serrated they cut through most things in the kitchen, cardboard, plastic bottles, I’ve even used them for the thin tie wraps and to be honest I’ve put then through hell. The last pair just gave up cutting even the simple packaging and trap it between the blades. Price is ok for £9.99The Bad … This isn’t a bad for me but it is bad, the picture on here is not the picture of the pair you receive. That is lazy and false advertising. They are similar in handle shape but the blades are different.I have found a way recently of sharpening them even with the serrations and didn’t mind trying it once I had no other option. Chances are unless you use the right tool it might not work and I can’t explain it other than a rotary tool was used on the blades. Then a little turn of the screw to gently nip up the blades. Can and would I recommend for £9.99 for the sensible DIY kitchen and day to day uses. Yes.

Good scissors
In my opinion these are one of the best scissors you can get for the kitchen this is my third pair,,, I would like to say though ,,get the scissors that have the serrated blade on one side,, and DO NOT WASH IN DISHWASHER! I don’t know if you know or not but dishwashers DO blunt the blades on knives and scissors! So best to wash these items in hot soapy water and dry well! I just wish I could find a “proper” scissor sharpener, but I think I’m going to have to send them away ,,it’s a pity we don’t have the old ways anymore, when we used to get a chap with a van usually selling Hardware, paraffin etc and he would have a grinding stone in his van and you used to take your knives and scissors outside to the van to be sharpened by him,,, good old days! A lot of things sadly missed, but there again, there’s an opening for someone with a van to restart this old trade

Outstanding scissors continuing the superb cutting ability of the previous model, now sadly mislaid.
We bought two of these scissors to replace the one that my better half used in the garden, and even worse, left it there and lost it.We still have one set of the original pairs bought decades ago and which remain the best scissors we have ever known. The new ones have a slightly modified grip and screw holding the two blades together but are otherwise essentially the same design. They also cut just as well as it is possible to compare the two vintages on a range of materials. The new scissors are slightly lighter in construction and with this reduction in weight and attendant solidarity has also come a potential reduction in strength. There is more 'give' in the overall structure when under high cutting strain (thicker materials). Nevertheless they retain the superb quality of cut of the previous model and are once more, favourite kitchen cutting tools.Highly recommended scissors continuing the superb cutting ability of the previous model,

exactly liked the scissors I was replacing
I ordered these scissors as the photograph clearly showed a pair of scissors with Fiskars Finland stamped on the plastic handle, exactly liked the scissors I was replacing. When they arrived they looked the same as my old ones, without the stamp on the handle. It's my understanding that Kitchen Devils and Fiskars are one and the same company, but Fiskars were sold out to another company in 2007 and their products are no longer made in Finland. The company selling these scissors on Amazon should not be using old stock photographs on the Amazon site, as this is misleading. I'm happy with the scissors at the sale price that I paid for them, but wouldn't have been if I was paying the full price, as they are probably Chinese made, hence the lack of stamp on the handle, and my three star rating. Not good enough really, as I use scissors daily as part of my job as a leatherworker, and generally only buy the best tools.....
