Better than Johnson's!
We LOVE this stuff! Calming Baby Bath is still working magic for us and our daughter is 3! I think the scent triggers something in her mind which tells her its bedtime, and she instantly winds down. This has been our bedtime solution since she was an infant, and it really does work.Aromatherapy works on me, so I figured it would work on my baby (its not for everyone, but seriously do try it!) so I bought the Johnson's brand when I was pregnant and I used that for a while on my little girl. But then a friend of mine told me that Baby Magic had less harmful ingredients so I decided to check it out. The scent is pretty much the exact same as Johnson's but without dyes and it's hypoallergenic. The ingredients list is almost exactly the same as Johnson's (does contain sulfates and some other not so nice things...) but usually this brand is less expensive than Johnson's in the stores I typically shop. Now it's about $2.00 cheaper per bottle because I use Subscribe and Save. When my daughter was having trouble sleeping, I used to bathe in this stuff and then slather myself in the lotion that goes with it, then do a nice bath for her in tepid water (for some reason a tepid/lukewarm temp is more soothing for sleepytime somehow) and it worked like a charm. I'd do a baby massage for her with the bedtime lotion, rock her and sing to her, and she would sleep so great. If she woke in the night to feed, I'd put a tiny bit of bedtime lotion on my arms as I fed and rocked her. Not only did it relax her, but it relaxed me too. Even during my pregnancy I'd just open the bottle to smell it, and imagine bathing my sweet baby. It really helped me get through those last horrible weeks of discomfort.I am trying to steer my family toward more natural bath and body products, but this scent literally triggers a Pavlovian response in my daughter that tells her its time to wind down and go to bed. Along with her normal bedtime routine, this scent is what she associates with bedtime. Sorry, but I'm not going to let a little bit of soap keep me up at night. I'm just not. At this point, I pretty much feel that her not being able to sleep at night (harmful for her development and my sanity) would be worse than her being exposed to sulfates, parabens, etc which are then rinsed right off her skin. As health conscious as we are in almost every other respect, I highly doubt a bit of soap is going to send my daughter on a downward spiral toward disease.

Smells Great, Soothing & Wonderful!
This is just a great product. Overpriced in the stores here is the only issue. My daughter use to have it used on her when she was little (shes 3 yrs now) and I still use it on her. Not only is she 3 yrs old, but she actually can't wait till bath time because she is able to use this. The smell is sweet and soothing. Where I usually have trouble getting her to bed, I use this rather then a normal type of shampoo and she gets knocked out in the next 10 mins. It relaxes her a lot more then the normal. Not only is a great smelling soap/bath, but it is healthy for the skin which is something that is always a plus or something you will always need when looking for a soap. Its enough to get by with for awhile, and the price is better then anywhere you can get (or at least here) when its not around or to expensive. Something that has been used in the family for awhile, and will possibly still be used for many years once grandchildren or so on come about. Best product that they can make and hopefully will continue to make. The original smelling is just as good, don't be fooled, but this is just a personal fave with the extra sweet smell of it.

Great Product, Great Price!
I recently bought this for my 16-month-old son despite my reservations. All 3 of my children suffer from eczema, so I've always used specialty skin products on them. When I ran out of my go-to baby wash, I had to use what I had on hand which was just a basic head-to-toe wash. My son, only mildly affected by eczema, did fine with this basic wash. So rather than paying an arm and a leg for a "special" soap again, I decided to try Baby Magic's Calming Baby Bath with Lavender and Chamomile. I am pleased to report his skin has done beautifully with this wash- no irritations whatsoever. I also was concerned that the smell might be too girly or overbearing as I remembered the original Baby Magic being (just my personal opinion). But the scent was soft and pleasant and just left his skin and hair mildly scented. My husband and I both felt the scent to be gender neutral- it is a clean, soothing scent. Also, we are expecting another child and everything seems to bother my nose and cause me to feel queezy, but this does not at all. It's just that pleasant. :) Highly recommend!

This is, by far, the absolute best smelling, most moisturizing lotion ever
This is, by far, the absolute best smelling, most moisturizing lotion ever. It’s super moisturizing without being greasy too. Seriously; who wants a greasy baby? The scent is calming to both the parent and child as well. There may be other lavender lotion out there but there are none with this soothing profile.Loved this my baby girls and now they use the same lotion for my grandchildren! (I still use it myself too.)Enjoy, I am totally confident you will!

Surprisingly moisturizing; contains SLES
I originally ordered this because it was cheap and had great reviews, and it has not disappointed. It has worked fine on my son since he was born, and he's now 19 months old. We've tried Burt's Bees and California Baby and they both dried his skin out pretty bad, which really surprised me. If anything I would have expected Baby Magic to dry his skin out, since it has fragrance and detergents, but something about it agrees with his skin (maybe the aloe). The smell is your typical fake lavender scent, but it's okay and only lingers a little. I wish it didn't contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), but from what I've read that's much better than Sodium LaurEL Sulfate, and his skin seems to love it. It also creates a good foam, and cleans his hair really well without over-drying.

Best night bath time addition !
I love the scent of this shampoo/ body wash. My daughter falls asleep as soon as she is changed ready for bed. The scent last on her hair and the wash is thick , a little goes along way ! It has helped her sleep at night ! I highly recommend if your babys skin tolerates scents, my daughter is 1 and a half months old and she has not had any skin reactions shes been using it for 2 weeks so far.
