Genuine GE replacement part
Bought this for my GE washer and it was a genuine part in mfg packaging. The part fit perfectly in my washer. I had two broken but replaced all four.

Washer Fixed!
Fixed the washer balancing issue and was easy to install on my GE washer. So glad this was available through Amazon at a good price, quick delivery, and saved a repair bill!

Fits, works, does the job
Received quickly, product is what it says it is. This is a RUBBER strap. It fits and does the job. Not much else to say.

Poor material quality, only lasts a few weeks at best.
While my seller replied promptly to my concern, I would not purchase these straps again. My original straps lasted for 5 years, when one broke I ordered 4 replacements to refit all of them at once while I had the washer apart. two weeks, and 10 loads of laundry later two of the replacement straps are already broken. The seller did indicate that these will break from overloading the washer, however my washer is never filled over half way, I make it a point to not overload the unit to minimize wear and tear. Seek other avenues of replacing these.

Not all Sellers are equal!
I have bought these Dampening Straps from several different sellers with varried results.Virginia Service Supply - Straps lasted for two years.Amazon - Straps lasted seven monthsPartsAway - All four straps broke in less than two months.Original Straps lasted four years

Ambiguous product
It is communicated as an authentic GE product, it is priced as authentic (one can buy 4 of these in less than the price of one), but what we received were a strap on an unbranded, nylon bag, without a GE logo on it, and with a sticker saying "dempening strap". I am not sure that GE would ever sell something on a bag with no logo that also has a typo on an easily attached sticker. Fortunately, we ordered another strap equally priced from another vendor in Amazon, and it came with a proper bag (GE logo and other info printed on it). In addition, the strap was less stiff than the other on the GE bag, and it was missing a number code present in the original. Long story short: We returned the two straps.
