Depends on use
I have an old quilt that my grandma gave me. It is about 60 years old, and the fabric is just falling apart. So I decided to buy this and cover the top of the quilt so that I could keep the quilt. It is soft, but it tears easily. My dog walked on it when I had the material laid out on the quilt, and her nails put little holes in it, so it isn't very strong. It is warm though, so I like it. It just depends on what you plan to use it for.
