Product is what it was advertised to be - so many carat weight of rough opal. But in fact, out of the dozen or so small stones that you receive (and they are SMALLER than the photo makes them appear), maybe only two, three tops actually show any sign of "opal fire" in them. The rest just look like clear glass.This seller, and many others like them sell individual stones in the $5 range that DO in fact have some glisten, or some "fire" to them, and you are better off buying the single individual stones. $33 for 12 stones, of which only two or three actually have any value is a FAR less better deal than buying the individual stones that they have to send you a stone that actually shines.I bought this "lot" for $33, and really only two of the stones were worth it. I also bought two individual stones for about $5 each, and they, of course, both had some fire to them. They had to to not be false advertising. So, in the long run, it is much cheaper to just buy individual stones.

As these are mixed bag of stones the quality will vary. I was pleased with what I received as I shaped and polished the stones. I am considering purchasing more but would like larger size. I'd say worth the cost and good quality.
