Eye opener
I've been using Sous vide for several years but this book has opened my eyes to how much more can be done than steak and chops.... excellent!

you did not know your sous vide could do all this.
This is the perfect book to get with your sous vide, if even just for the awesome cooking time charts at the back. I am using my sous vide more than ever and loving it.

There are a lot of Sous Vide books available but this one is exceptional!
The author has created a beautiful cookbook that is well-organized, with step-by-step instructions, and accompanied with beautiful photos. But the best part are the recipes. Every recipe I've tried so far have been easy to follow, detailed and most important: healthy and delicious. I bought books for Christmas presents for family and friends. (Haven't had any feedback yet... and I better not until after Christmas morning.) I urge you to buy and try this cookbook. You will not regret your decision. Note: Sharon also shares recipes, ideas and helpful hints on her blog.

Most practical sous vide cookbook ever!
This is a well-written cookbook! We have already enjoyed several recipes. Kudos to the author for using ingredients readily available to the home cook. Too many chefs call for exotic ingredients available only on line, if at all! They’re only impressing themselves. Well done, Ms. Chen!

Good Recipe Collection; Mild Organizational Issues
I have worked with the sous vide circulator and I like the control it gives me over the cooking process. Some things that are hard to get right with other methods become trivial with this method of cooking, and I am always keeping an eye open for good cookbooks and collections that will expand my horizons with the circulator. This books is one of the better ones I have seen, though it is does seem a little disorganized in a few places. The author hits a pretty broad spectrum of dishes that can be made with the sous vide method, including drinks and other oddities such as edible raw cookie dough. Many of these things are presented elsewhere, but the author makes these types of dishes and cooking very practical and easily approachable. The catch is that some of the nifty things presented are not easily found without hunting in this book. For example, the aforementioned cookie dough recipe describes the process of Pasteurizing eggs and flour (flour done in the oven or microwave, not the water bath). Pasteurizing eggs is a great application of the sous vide method, but there's no reference to it in the index, the introductory material or the table of contents. It's attached to a recipe on page 204. This is my main criticism of this book - such types of information should be more accessible.Another easy recipe that is attached to another recipe is hollandaise sauce. It took me a bit to find it in the index but it's there, as "Classic Hollandaise Sauce" listed under "S" for sauces but alphabetically between "B" and "D" under that. The recipe collection is better than most and is divided up into sections. The recipes are divided up into 8 chapters, as follows: "Eggs and Dairy", "Vegetables and Sides", "Fish and Shellfish", "Poultry", "Pork", "Beef and Lamb", "Drinks and Desserts", and finally "Rubs, Sauces and Seasonings". The final chapter on sauces and seasoning isn't specific to sous vide and the recipes do not call for using the circulator. Their inclusion is welcome, though, and are used elsewhere. The recipes I have tried have worked out well and I have learned along the way. I still have more to learn. This is a good book on sous vide cooking and it will serve you well if you're looking for a good collection of recipes. The organization can be a little confusing at times, and finding things in the book are occasionally more difficult than they should be, but overall I have no issues recommending this book.

Great book!
I like this book a lot. It is easier to use than my two other sous vide books. The recipes I have tried have been delicious. And I particularly like her sous vide cooking charts, which take much of the guess work out of this way of cooking. Buy it!

Nice variety, easy and delicious
A nice variety of recipes from many different cuisines. Short and simple ingredient lists that deliver lots of flavor. Recipes are very easy to follow with the step by step list. I've made about 10 of them so far and they have all been delicious and cooked to perfection.

Not my thing
This book proved to me that this is not my thing. 1 hour to cook poached egg 🍳 or you spend a long time cooking to have to fry the meat to brown it. Not a practical solution to cooking.
